Newcastle Brown Comedy Club
Laugh your socks off with 3 fine acts from the comedy circuit including Jeff Green
Stand-up's most irresistible rogue
- The Guardian Pin sharp comedy beautifully delivered is the trademark
- Evening Standard The master of the comic anti-climax
- The Independent Green is one of those impish comics who charms rather than provokes his audience, offering them glimpses into the workings of his bizarre mind - The Independent on Sunday
If a London comedy critic had to stake his or her life on a performance recommendation, then Jeff Green would have to be in the frame. His shows are freewheeling delightful affairs in which an hour seems to last 18 minutes
- Evening Standard Only a comedian with great presence and self-belief could make a stage his home. Green makes it look easy
- Edinburgh Evening News Brave, perceptive, uniquely honest and very, very funny
- The Herald The funniest stand-up in Britain
- The Sun

Jeff Scott Soto & His Solo Band
American rock vocalist Jeff Scott Soto is at last embarking on his long awaited European Tour beginning in the UK this May. Those of you who know Jeff's history with Talisman, Humanimal and his recent association with rock legends Queen will be delighted to see him live once more. Hailed as 'the front man every bands wants', his showcase performance at last years Gods of Rock Festival in Bradford last year defined the way forward for Jeff as a solo artist. This is a rare opportunity for fans to see his collected works from Talisman, Humanimal and his association with artists such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Axel Rudi Pell and showcase Jeff's lead vocals from the movie 'Rock Star'. Fresh from performing with Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen in LA, Jeff will be in the UK in April to again work with Roger and the SAS Band when filming will take place in London, for a secret TV pilot! Jeff has then been invited to perform a staggering 2 1/2 hour set at this years Queen Convention in Prestatyn, consisting entirely of Queen songs. Jacky Gunn at the International Queen Fan Club is quoted as saying after last years performance "I asked jeff then and there to come back in 2003 – although we were lucky he hasn't yet been poached by Queen themselves after his stunning performance at the Los Angeles Star Ceremony party!". Jeff also performed a live set of Queen songs last August at the American Convention in Cleveland. The end of last year saw the release of Jeff's highly acclaimed second solo album 'PRISM', available on Frontiers Records, showing the diversity of this multi talented singer and songwriter. The album also included a duet with Glenn Hughes, one of Jeff's heroes, blasting out a cover of 'I want to take you higher'. MelodicRock.com review of the album read "If you buy one album this year, ensure it's 'Prism'. This is a masterpiece, every track is a gem". This May also sees the release of Jeff's 'Live at the Gods 2002' performance on CD and DVD. Jeff will be headlining the Gods Festival again this year at the end of May with his band Talisman, who's new album 'Cats and Dogs' is also released in May this year! Jeff leaves the UK at the end of May to embark on his European tour... Check out Jeff's website for more details.

Derrin Nauendorf and The Hard GroundDerrin Nauendorf and The Hard Ground. This globally recognised acoustic roots sensation stormed The Brook in April last year, opening for Roger Chapman. By special invitation, and for one night only, Derrin Nauendorf has put an all-star band together. In addition to featuring songs from the Natural CD, the current and highlyacclaimed Live at The Boardwalk CD, Derrin and the band will preview many new songs from his next album which is out this month. Derrin Nauendorf and fellow Aussie, percussionist David Downing, have been making a big impact all over the UK with their unique and dynamic acoustic performances. Comparisons to the likes of David Gray and Paul Weller mean Derrin is hotly tipped for stardom. Widely recognised for his explosive acoustic guitar style and evocative song writing, Derrin will also pick up his electric guitar during the show allowing Derrin to display the talent he showed in winning the 'AussieRock' Band of The Year contest - competing against 120 bands from all over Australia. This will be a VERY special evening."If you only see one gig this year
