With recent 3 page review in the Sunday Express and live footage on the BBC 6 o'clock News this band go from strength to strength. Whether a fan of the original Led Zeppelin or new to the sound come and be astounded by the music of Led Zeppelin . Given the thumbs-up by no less a guitar god than Jimmy Page himself , Whole Lotta led are THE Led Zeppelin tribute band Hailing from England Whole Lotta Led are now considered by many to be one of the greatest tributes to Led Zeppelin around. Generally playing two and a half hour sets and over 100 concerts a year their enthusiasm on stage is unequalled, with a stage presence full of magnetism that all audiences feel and share. They are all exceptional musicians in their own field and without realising it create much the same energy, flair and magic that still holds Led Zeppelin as one of thee largest and most influential bands the world has ever seen. New generations are getting involved in the Zeppelin experience, audiences at Whole Lotta Led gigs span four generations from six to sixty and for most it is the first opportunity of seeing Zeppelin's music performed live. It has been many years now since Zeppelin split up, tributes keep the music alive but when Whole Lotta Led recreate a Zeppelin concert they keep the music fresh. Uniquely for a tribute band they don't have the pretence of trying to look like former members of Zeppelin, their integrity and musicianship comes through in the passion for the music they play. Jimmy Page met them and gave his blessing to what they are achieving. The band also raises funds for The ABC Trust, a charity founded by Jimmy Page's wife to help under privileged children in Brazil. She keeps in touch with the band and informs Jimmy of there progress. |

Bill Wyman & The Rhythm KingsFormer Rollling Stone and His Band Rock and roll icon, author, restaurateur, - legendary former Rolling Stones bassist BILL WYMAN has seen it all and continues to live life to the full. His latest musical rebirth as the driving force behind the fabulous Rhythm Kings sees him return to his musical roots. This set of virtuoso musicians superbly bring back to life the kind of classic rhythm and blues that first inspired Wyman to pick up the guitar as a teenager. A show imbued with absolute quality. |

Bill is now the owner of The Ripple Group and the London restaurant, Sticky Fingers. He has won acclaim as an author, having written four books. The first was his autobiography Stone Alone: The Story of a Rock and Roll Band, (1990), followed by Wyman Shoots Chagall, (1998), a charming, limited-edition book that presented a selection of informal photographs taken by Bill, and his memories of his friend, the late artist Marc Chagall. Each Wyman Shoots Chagall book included a CD of orchestral music entitled The Chagall Suite, which was written and arranged by Bill and Mike Batt. In 2001, DK Publishing released Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey: A Journey to Music's Heart and Soul, which won The Blues Foundation's 2002 "Keepin' the Blues Alive Award for Literature". The book accompanied the award nominated TV series of the same name; Catfish Entertainment released a DVD in March 2003 in the U.K. In October 2002 DK published Rolling With The Stones by Bill Wyman. The lavishly illustrated book chronicles the story behind the world's greatest rock 'n' roll band. It has met with critical success throughout the world having been published in Britain, America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It has already been translated into German, French, Norwegian, Japanese, Dutch and Italian. This summer will see it translated and published in Spanish, Russian and Polish. Wyman's solo recordings include Monkey Grip, Stone Alone, Bill Wyman, Stuff, and the hit single (Si Si) Je Suis un Rockstar, which reached the top 20 in many countries around the world. In 1985, Wyman gathered Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood, Andy Fairweather-Low, Chris Rea, Paul Rogers and Jimmy Page together in the studio, calling themselves Willie and the Poor Boys, and recorded an album to raise money for ARMS (The Multiple Sclerosis Charity). Wyman also recorded a second album, Willie and The Poor Boys Live, with Gary Brooker and other musician friends. Bill Wyman has also been seen in several films, including Sympathy for the Devil, Gimme Shelter, Ladies and Gentlemen and Rolling Stones, Let's Spend The Night Together, Digital Dreams and Rolling Stones in IMAX, Larger Than Life. Bill wrote the soundtrack for the film Green Ice and contributed to the soundtracks for two Dario Argento films. Bill's restaurant Sticky Fingers — which an American critic called, "The San Lorenzo of burger restaurants" — now in its fourteenth year it has over the years won a variety of high profile awards, including The Sunday Times (London) award for Best Hamburger. In 1996, in conjunction with his co-writer Terry Taylor, Bill Wyman formed a new band to play a mixture of jazz and blues — music which first inspired Bill to pick up a bass guitar. The band, whose members have included Georgie Fame, Albert Lee, Mike Sanchez, Peter Frampton, Martin Taylor, Chris Stainton and Gary Brooker, became Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. The Rhythm King's first album Struttin' Our Stuff was released in 1997 and the second Anyway The Wind Blows in 1998. Anyway The Wind Blows was met with great reviews from magazines such as Q and Mojo and stormed to the top five of the Jazz and Blues album charts resulting in a successful UK tour. Groovin', The Rhythm Kings third album, gained rave reviews in the UK, where it reached #1 on the Jazz & Blues charts for five weeks – as did the band's newest album, Double Bill, featuring the late George Harrison on slide guitar. All four albums are currently available in Britain and Europe, as well as through Bill's website. |

John Taylor Presents...Dennis LocorriereThe True Voice of Dr HookDennis is back at the Brook - for an intimate acoustic solo show |
|
|||||
| The Brook would like to appologise for any inconvenience caused, by displaying an article yesterday relating to an old Dennis Locorriere show. | |
DENNIS LOCORRIERE is one of the last great undimmed American heroes.
Without reservation he still has one of the finest voices around, impassioned heartbreak and lost innocence… As the lead singer of Dr Hook, one of the biggest bands across the world in the seventies and eighties, Dennis Locorriere is THAT beautiful voice instantly recognised the world over. He sang every major hit they had and was the only member of the band on every Dr Hook recording, Dr Hook’s plaudits are impressive. Hook amassed more than 60 gold and platinum records scoring No 1 hits in more than 42 countries… they had massive world-wide success with classics like “Sylvia’s Mother”, “When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman”, “A Little Bit More” and the original and definitive version of “The Ballad Of Lucy Jordan”… they spent 300 days a year on the road for 15 years. They clocked up another Gold record last year when Dennis’ concept the Hits & History CD released to accompany his massively successful Hits & History tour went Gold in the UK with sales of over 100,000. The tour DVD would also later hit the Top 5 in the UK and the album reach Gold in Europe too. But Dr Hook really is only the early part of Dennis Locorriere’s story. He appeared in a major movie with Dustin Hoffman. He starred at New York City’s Lincoln Centre in a universally acclaimed one man play “The Devil And Billy Markham” written by Shel Silverstein especially for him. He recently starred as part of the all star line up for the Dear Mr fantasy Concert at London’s Roundhouse alongside Steve Winwood, Paul Weller, Pete Townshend, Yusuf Islam, Joe Walsh, Gary Moore, Bill Wyman, Jon Lord and a host of other stars celebrating the life and career of Traffic founding member Jim Capaldi and was also the latest special guest with Bill Wyman’s Rhythm Kings early this year. Dennis returns to the UK this year celebrating the very best of his own solo work and the wonderful catalogue of classic songs & recordings from his former band Dr Hook. |
