The Hounds of Love Band represent all that is honest about performing great music.

This is a group of dedicated musicians fronted by vocalist Josie Mills who love and appreciate the work of Kate Bush, her compositions always elevated to a heart felt live performance.

Josie Mills, singer, comes from York. Singing a pop song is one big step away from singing the diverse musical styles and athletic range demanded in performing a Kate Bush song. Without attempting to emulate the sound of Kate Bush, Josie finds the expression to communicate the songs of Kate Bush with impressive passionate sympathy.

The members of the band are all session musicians who have worked with many top names in the industry including Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple), Don Airy (Deep Purple), Graham Bonnet (Rainbow), Doogie White (Rainbow), Bernie Marsden & Micky Moody (Whitesnake) and Neil Murray (Whitesnake) to name but a few.

The Purple Project represents something much more than just a look-a-like 'tribute' act. As massive fans themselves, they tribute the music of Deep Purple and not the personnel - Clearly the fans agree that the focus should always be on the music and not simply 'dressing-up' to look the part. Behind each live performance lies a deeper understanding of the structure and motivation for the musical arrangements - and of course a shared passion for recreating and experiencing the unbelievable power and intensity of Deep Purple in full flight!

The show mirrors the legendary concerts of Deep Purple with a running time of over two hours, with songs picked from the extensive album and single back catalogue, and includes classic live favourites such as 'Hush', 'Burn' and of course 'Smoke on the Water'!

The band was started by Mike Score in 1979 and went on to record the classics 'I ran (so far away)' and 'Space age love song' even receiving a Grammy for their services to classic electro-pop. Don't miss this rare performance from a true legend

A Flock of Seagulls achieved noteriety with the video for their song "I Ran" which showcased the lead singer Mike Score's one of a kind hairdo. To this day they remain firmly identified with the song, and the early days of MTV in the 80's.

A Flock of Seagulls first self titled, full length album was released in 1982. The band initially had trouble making any radio play headway with the single "I Ran". That is, until MTV began playing the now famous video for the song.

Initially charting in July of 1982, a Flock of Seagull's "I Ran" took a long time to reach the Billboard Top 10. The song finally peaked at No. 9 for a couple of weeks near the end of October 1982. The album also reached the Top 10, selling over 500,000 copies.

A Flock of Seagulls had a decent follow-up hit to "I Ran", called "A Space Aged Love Song." The song reached the Top 30 in February of 1983.

A Flock of Seagulls follow-up album "Listen" was released in the Spring of 1983. The single "Wishing" was released as the band's single for radio play. While the song stalled low in the U.S. Top 30, it became the only Flock of Seagulls song to chart in the U.K.

There seems to be two different methods employed by tribute bands in copying their heroes. One is to immerse themselves totally in character, become the band. The other is to still do this, but do it with tongue very much in cheek. So how to interpret the greatest pop group of all time? The Silver Beatles go for option B, not taking themselves too seriously and this approach definitely works for them. They indulge in banter among themselves and with the crowd, making the most out of the fact that every Beatle is instantly recognisable. The first half of the gig is the young Beatles, suits and mop tops, covering all the early hits; 'Saw her standing there, Can't buy me love' among others before finishing on 'Twist and Shout'. Then it's a quick break and costume change where they miraculously transform into the older, hippie era Beatles; the period where they wrote some of their finest songs. Just point non-believers to songs like 'In my life' and 'Let it be' which show, more so than the early years, why the Beatles are still held in such esteem. Not that anyone here needed convincing. The 500 plus crowd, arms held aloft, nah-nah-nah-ing during the encore of 'Hey Jude'. Nope, no non-believers were present.

John Gordillo

John Gordillo has appeared on "Best of the Comedy Store" (C5/Paramount). He has recently returned to stand up after a 6 year break, during which time he hosted & co-created two series of a nightly talk show for BBC 3 ("The RDA with John Gordillo") and directed any number of live comedy & theatre shows, two of which were nominated for the Perrier.
In 2005 he wrote, directed & produced a Comedy Lab for Channel 4 ("Blackout") that he's making into a film.

LINDA WOMACK daughter of the late great SAM COOKE and CECIL WOMACK brother of the legendary BOBBY WOMACK hit the charts in April 1984 with “LOVE WARS” on Elektra Records which reached no 14 and stayed for 10 weeks. This was followed by “BABY IM SCARED OF YOU “ in June 1984

They then switched labels to Manhattan and in December 1986 they returned to the charts with “SOUL LOVE –SOUL MAN”

Another label switch saw them move to Fourth and Broadway records which launched them into their own legendary status with “TEARDROPS” which reached No 3 in the charts in August 1988 and this record stayed on the charts for 18 weeks. In November 1988 they followed this up with “LIFE'S JUST A BALLGAME” and in February 1989 saw the release of another classic “CELEBRATE THE WORLD”

In 1996 They moved to Warner Brothers Records and tasted chart success again with “SECRET STAR”

In the album charts they had 3 massive albums 2 on Elektra “LOVE WARS” & “RADIO MUSIC MAN” And the Top 4 Album on Fourth & Broadway “CONSCIENCE”

They have now been together as hit recording artistes for 25 years and this year they are celebrating their anniversary with an extensive UK tour. On selected dates 3 of their daughters who go out collectively as JQ will perform the task of backing vocalists. Music runs very deep in this family.

Just when you think you've got a handle on singer songwriters, along comes Martyn Joseph to blow the myth away.....

There's nothing predictable about a Joseph gig – only that it could make you laugh, cry, get you thinking, leave you reeling.

An acoustic artist with an electrifying spontaneity, this colossally gifted and gracious Welshman has five Top 50 hits to his name (including Dolphins Make Me Cry and Please Sir) and has been in demand on both sides of the Atlantic for over two decades. Touring both solo and with the likes of Ani DiFranco, Art Garfunkel and Jools Holland he has won fans everywhere with his uncanny melting pot of material which ranges from rock to blues, jazz, Americana and even, "funk folk"!
