Band PicBand PicTERRORVISION IN SUPER DELUXE

After a 10-year absence, Bradford rock band Terrorvision return with a new album in 2011. Good to Go was their last recorded outing in 2001 and preceded the band stepping out of the spotlight after 5 albums and 14 top-30 singles.

The band traded on pure fun and unadulterated pop rock of the highest order throughout the 1990s, leaving their mark on countless festival stages (and backstage riders). Oblivion, Alice what's the matter, Perseverance, Pretend Best Friend, Tequila – the default soundtrack to any self-respecting rockers Saturday night out.

Several reunion shows and mini-tours since 2005 have proved massively popular with their ever-loyal fanbase and a triumphant showing at this years Sonisphere festival, showcasing new drummer Cam Greenwood, proved to be the catalyst for the band to start writing again.

The new album, Super Deluxe, will be out in time for a UK tour in February of 2011.

The World's Only Official Live Tribute Band To Marc Bolan & T.Rex

CELEBRATING THE YEAR OF MARC BOLAN'S 65TH BIRTHDAY &
COMMEMORATING MARC BOLAN'S 35TH ANNIVERSARY
1977 - 2012

Band PicOn 16 September 1977 the world lost one of it's most original, flamboyant and charismatic rock'n'roll stars.  Marc Bolan's life was cut short after that fateful early morning car accident which would end his life - he was still only 29 years old.  Although Bolan released many successful singles and albums throughout the 1970s, two songs epitomise Bolan's status as the ‘King of Glam' – ‘Telegram Sam' (which sold 500,000 copies within the first two days of release), and ‘Metal Guru', both of which were included on the iconic album in 1972 called ‘The Slider'.  Later in the year, on 8 September 1972, one of his most memorable and distinctive records that would inspire future generations was also released, entitled ‘Children of the Revolution'.  40 years on, the song has become legendary, along with the name Marc Bolan….

T.Rextasy have now been gigging around the world for 20 years, a career that ironically out lives Marc's very own T.Rex.  The band are now accepted as the world's only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan's family, estate, original        ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan's catalogue management.  Due to their passion, musical ability, longevity, and attention to detail, they are consistently described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute'.

They have, with their ‘Marc Bolan' doppelganger lead singer/lead guitarist, Danielz, signed with Columbia Records, Madman Records, and Liberation DVD, won the accolade of ‘Best Live Tribute Band in the UK on BBC1, and performed at the original Billy Elliot premiere party, filmed for ‘Arena' on BBC TV.  Over the years they have toured around the world from Europe to Japan and have performed at many Arena venues in the UK (such as Wembley Arena, and Birmingham's NEC). They have played alongside many of the 1970s original contemporaries such as Wizzard, Cockney Rebel, Slade, Sweet, and Ian Hunter, to name a few. In September 2007 they played to 40,000 at the BBC Proms Night at London's Hyde Park, and later headlined their own sell-out concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire with their special guests including Marc Almond (Soft Cell), Gloria Jones (Marc's girlfriend songwriter/singer), and Shakin' Stevens.

The band have also accepted invitations from ex-members of T.Rex such as Mickey Finn (original percussionist), Marc's son Rolan Bolan, and Bowie/Bolan producer Tony Visconti, to play alongside them in past special anniversary concerts.  Dino Dines (original keyboardist), a long serving member of T.Rex even joined T.Rextasy and remained with them until sadly passing away a few years ago…the list goes on…

Expect T.Rextasy to play all of Bolan's biggest hits, such as ‘Ride a White Swan', ‘Jeepster', ‘Telegram Sam', ‘New York City', ‘Debora', ‘Teenage Dream', ‘Hot Love', ‘20th Century Boy', ‘The Groover', ‘I Love To Boogie', ‘Get It On', and of course ‘Telegram Sam', ‘Metal Guru', and ‘Children of the Revolution'.  The band plays totally live without the aid of any backing tracks, recreating the music, performance and excitement of those heady and outrageous times of glam rock.

Truly a rock'n'roll concert for all ages - if you would like to know exactly what a Marc Bolan concert was like in the 1970s, this gig is for you!

T.Rextasy – awarded the accolade of ‘The Best Live Tribute Band in the UK' by BBC1 TV.

‘They're the closest you're ever going to get to the real thing'
- Bill Legend (original T.Rex drummer)

‘T.Rextasy are the tribute act who break all the rules by being bloody brilliant.  Danielz is an exact replica of Marc, he's uncanny.
- The Independent on Sunday

‘Danielz is a curator of Bolan's life, a perfectionist protector of the legacy – T.Rextasy play with a poignant, flamboyant skill.'
- The Observer

"Danielz looks and sounds uncannily like Bolan and has dedicated his life to the man" – The Times

"Danielz is more than a career lookalike.  Here we have a serious guitarist with the animal grace of early Bolan and the clear unequivocal love of the music"
– The Stage

"Danielz just freaks me out!"
– Mickey Finn (original T.Rex percussionist)

UK LIVE DATES

In 1988 after nearly ten years of continuous touring, Robert John Godfrey called an official halt to The Enid with two back to back sold-out shows at The Dominion Theatre, London and the band dissolved.

Except for a few one-off adventures during the nineties, the band lay dormant whilst Godfrey fought his demons.

In 2002, Robert John Godfrey met by chance a young guitarist, Jason Ducker. For the following years Jason and Robert have been working on The Enid's music. Now he is ready to step into the unique role left vacant by Steve Stewart.

The original drummer, Dave Storey together with Jason Ducker and Max Read (member since 1995), join Robert John Godfrey, founding member and driving force within the band for a succession of live shows in support of their new album entitled Journey's End.

Said Godfrey in a recent letter to his fans; "I haven't been entirely idle over these years of inactivity. I have developed both as a composer and a person. I think you will all love these new interpretations of some of our most famous tracks."

In Jason, I have found the guitarist I so missed after Steve Stewart left in 1988. Dave is in magnificent form and Max is, as ever, a stalwart in all things."

NEW RECORDINGS

"Arise & Shine"
Now completed is a special recording featuring the new line up performing all the music which was performed at The Bush Hall, London on May 29th.

This special CD is not intended for general release and will only be available at gigs, festivals and mail order through the band's fan club, The Enidi.

"Journeys End"
The end of this year will see the completion of what may be Godfrey's last major work, aptly called, Journey's End.

In a recent radio interview Godfrey said, "I believe that if I am finally able to get this task done, I will have surpassed myself; and if that turns out to be true, then my struggles will be over and I will have nothing left to do."

***
THE ENID – BRIEF HISTORY

The Enid emerged in the latter half of the seventies as a radical answer to all those young people who couldn't identify with punk but were nevertheless as tired and fed with the current music scene as nearly everyone else.

By 1983, Tommy Vance on Radio One had dubbed them "The biggest cult band in Europe". Not because they were, but because the main radio station in the UK assumed they must be!

Record companies feared them; Glastonbury banned them. The band was even investigated by MI5. By the mid eighties, just about everybody in the UK had heard of The Enid; and the amount of misinformation, which surrounded them, was staggering.

They've been called "fascists" (by people who had been told of, but obviously had never actually experienced at first hand, their sacrilegious on-stage renditions of "Land of Hope and Glory"), "leftists" (because of RJG's vociferous insistence that "all people are interdependent whether they know it or not and that individuality has no fundamental meaning"), and "anarchists" (some truth in that).

Many people assumed that they were some sort of insane punk band. That particular assumption could scarcely have been further from the mark. In fact they were probably the most enigmatic and intellectually challenging of any band to have emerged in the UK.

Quotes

NEARFest 2010, USA

"I was completely stunned by their performance at NEARFest."

"I thought they were awesome!"

"Seems they were the runaway fave of the weekend from the looks of the reviews. I would consider this a triumph for them and their fans."

"The performance was so intense I do not think listening to the CD would even come close (as others seem to be alluding to). In particular, there was a full tympani set, a huge bass drum and a drum set on stage, and when the music was building into loud intense moments it really felt like the theatre was going to explode. It was a sensation unlike any other rock show I've ever heard - not simply a matter of volume, but overall dynamics, playing intensity and orchestration."

"…the runaway (and unexpected) hit with me was most definitely The Enid, whose performance was so powerful, emotional, and sonically rich and beautiful...it drew me (and several others with whom I spoke) to tears."

"It was definitely an incredible experience, and quite unexpected. They almost lost me during the opener, but then something clicked and I was totally mesmerized by the last two songs. The dynamics and intensity were indeed unmatched."

Band PicLIMEHOUSE LIZZY - THE GREATEST HITS OF PHIL LYNOTT & THIN LIZZY

Renowned for an action-packed pyrothechnic-fuelled explosion of a show, Limehouse Lizzy continue to keep the spirit of Celtic rock icon Philip Lynott and his band Thin Lizzy alive, well and dominating stages worldwide.

Band PicAttention to detail, playful audience interaction and that all important X-factor that leaves you with the feeling of witnessing the real thing have led to their performance being described as "beyond tribute", by both audience and critics alike.

Following the enormous success of their ˜Live & Dangerous" & ˜Dedication" tours, the band embarked upon their "Into the Limelight" 2008 tour to tie in with their appearance on an episode of BBC2's 'Arena' documentary series of the same name. The tour travelled as far as a headline slot at the Rhodes Rock festival in Greece, and the Virgin Atlantic Music festival in Barbados. The band appeared alongside diverse world music acts, and played a Thin Lizzy set representing the celtic rock genre.

Their latest tour continues to explore and celebrate the artistic and musical legacy of the hard-living, hard-rocking, yet at times surprisingly tender and romantic artist that was Philip Lynott.

Expect Celtic influenced tracks like "Whisky in the Jar" and "Black Rose", amongst the usual razzamatazz and classic tracks "The Boys are Back in Town", "Sarah" and many others we've come to expect from one of the most highly rated acts on the circuit.

QUOTES

Ruby Turner, one of the UK's finest Soul Singers, has just launched her long awaited new album "So Amazing".  One of the tracks was recently featured in the BBC Drama "Silent Witness".

Ruby was born in Jamaica and grew up in Montego Bay.  She was told that Grandfather Turner was a lead singer in a gospel group.  Music in the blood was confirmed.  She was relocated to Birmingham, England when she was 9. Ruby can breathe life and meaning into a song whether it is a passionate soaring ballad or a soulful up-tempo groove. Her career to date has been sensational with major Tours, Film, TV and theatre appearances.

Her major break came when taken under the wings of Britons own Blues Legend Alexis Korner – sadly now gone from us.  In the mid 1980's she joined 'CultureClub' at the height of their stardom. Since then, Ruby has releasd 13 solo albums.

Ruby's first Album, "Women Hold Up Half The Sky" was released by Jive to critical acclaim in 1986. This period spawned the hits 'If You're Ready (Come Go With Me) and 'I'd Rather Go Blind' and, in the American R'n'B chart, the number 1 hit single 'It's Gonna Be Alright' - one of less than ten British records to achieve this! It was at this time that she also released her hit album 'The Motown Songbook' on which she performed with some of the great stars of that era - The Four Tops, The Temptations, Jimmy Ruffin etc.

"Ruby Turner Live In Bristol" was her last album. Recorded live at the Bristol Theatre Royal, she performed some of her biggest hits,  including 'I'd Rather Go Blind', "If you're ready come go with me", "Stay with me Baby" and 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered'.

Adam Bloom is one of Britain's most inventive comedians. He has performed sell-out solo shows at 7 Edinburgh Festivals as well as performing a sell-out tour of Britain. He has also sold out theatres 7in Melbourne, Sydney, Auckland, Wellington & Cape Town as well as making three visits to 'Just For Laughs' in Montreal. In 2004, Adam was part of the 'Just For Laughs Comedy Tour', playing to 42,000 people in 17 cities across Canada. He has also written three series of 'The Problem with Adam Bloom' for BBC Radio 4.

"Some people go on stage and talk about sex which is fine if you like that sort of thing. I talk about life, because life is inherently funny, I just get ideas about stuff and work them into jokes. It doesn't matter where you tell it, a funny joke will get laughs anywhere."

Band PicJoe Bor

A sharp and energetic observational comedian, Joe is a rising star of the stand up circuit. 2010 has seen him debut his first full-length solo show Joe Bor - A Study of Embarassment by a Guy with Two Bumholes to great acclaim at some of the country's top festivals. The show earned him a 'Best Value Show' appraisal at the Leicester Comedy Festival, where he performed for three nights at The Criterian to sell-out audiences. Joe featured on DAVE channel's Magners Pint Sized Comedy at this year's Glasgow Comedy Festival.

Band PicAndy Robinson

Andy Robinson has been performing comedy for five years and will continue to do so until he marries into royalty. Starting as a musician - with a Nineties band named The Carpetsweepers – Andy moved into comedy whenthe patter between the songs become more entertaining than the music. At the Glastonbury Festival in 1993, Andy won a competition for perspiring young comedians. This first encounter of the sweaty world of stand up gave him a real insight into a life of comedy.
Andy commenced his meteoric trajectory into the glitzy world of show business from a pub in Dudley where he sharpened his trade compering a 'free and easy' night every fortnight. The discipline of cracking funnies between bare-knuckle boxing and dogfights was an invaluable experience. He was briefly a local radio DJ in Birmingham - but was sacked over comments about a boy band!

Ben was inspired as a lad when he watched a Melvin Bragg south bank show called "A left hand like god" This was a brief history of Boogie Woogie and it was amazing. At the end of the show they had a Boogie Woogie session with Hamburg based pianist Axel Zwingenberger, it was incredible and had an immediate effect on Waters. The rhythm section for this show was Dave Green and Charlie Watts!

Ben and Axel became friends and worked together on various projects. In early 2009 Ben and Axel decided to put some dates together in the UK and tour theatre's with two pianos. One night whilst sat at home Waters had an idea of writing to Charlie Watts as he was an old friend of his Aunt and Uncle and asked him to join the tour. As He already knew Axel and was a fan of Boogie Woogie Watts agreed "As long as Dave Green plays bass!" So the band was formed.

A = AXEL ZWINGENBERGER

Born in Hamburg, Germany, in 1955, pianist Axel Zwingenberger is travelling the world as the »ambassador of Boogie Woogie« since the age of 19. Together with his friends Vince Weber, Martin Pyrker and George Moeller, he started out in the German speaking countries. Meanwhile, the keyboard virtuoso has given concerts in about 50 countries on four continents, in the Middle and Far East of Asia, in Africa as well as in the Americas. Besides that, he has performed in almost every European country.
He has risen a lot of interest by his co-operations with famous Jazz and Blues musicians. During the early 1980s, the great Lionel Hampton invited him to participate in an European concert tour and to record in the U.S. Axel's creativity is documented on meanwhile 30 Audio CDs, among them recordings with U.S lege nds like Big Joe Turner, Jay McShann, Champion Jack Dupree, Sippie Wallace and many others, together with 8 solo albums.Music critics from the United Kingdom have labeled Axel as »The Boogiemeister of the world« which makes him particularly proud, since he is not only a creative and innovative composer, but has explored the facets of authentic Boogie Woogie and Blues piano like nobody else and put fresh life into this music by his irresistible interpretations.

In 2009 Axel recorded a new album with Dave Green and Charlie Watts, Its Called "The Magic Of Boogie Woogie"

B = Ben Waters

Born in 1974 in Weymouth, Dorset Ben was exposed at an early age to Rhythm and Blues, Boogie Woogie and Rock N Roll. A lot of the touring bands liked coming to Dorset and playing small village halls. He was lucky enough to see people like Diz Watson, Geraint Watkins, Big Joe Duskin, Juice on the Loose, Ron Kavana all play a few feet from him. Ian Stewart used to bring his band Rocket 88 down to Dorset and played at family parties. This was Bens first exposure to this kind of music (most kids his age were into insipid soft metal) It was Fats' Dominoes 60th birthday party that finally tipped Waters over the edge. The party shown on TV had Fats, Ray Charles and Jerry Lee Lewis all playing together - it really was magical. It was shortly after this that Ben took up piano. HIs love of this music has taken him all over the world and he has been lucky enough to share the stage with some of his heroes, from Chuck B erry to Screaming Lord Sutch!. He also is a producer and songwriter, one of his songs recently was played across the USA as song of the week on NPR.

C = CHARLIE WATTS

Watts has been involved in many activities outside his high-profile life as a member of the Rolling Stones. In 1964, he published a cartoon tribute to Charlie Parker entitled Ode to a High Flying Bird. Although he has made his name in rock, his personal tastes focus on jazz; in the late 70s, he joined Ian "Stu" Stewart in the back-to-the-roots boogie-woogie band Rocket 88, which featured many of the UK's top jazz, rock and R&B musicians. In the 1980s, he toured worldwide with a big band that included such names as Evan Parker, Courtney Pine, and Jack Bruce, who was also a member of Rocket 88. In 1991, he organised a jazz quintet as another tribute to Charlie Parker. 1993 saw the release of Warm And Tender, by the Charlie Watts Quintet, which included vocalist Bernard Fowler. This same group then released Long Ago And Far Away in 1996. Both records included a collection of Great American Songbook standards. After a successful collaboration with Jim Keltner on The Rolling Stones' Bridges to Babylon, Charlie and Jim released a techno/instrumental album called simply Charlie Watts/Jim Keltner Project. Featuring the names of his favourite jazz drummers, Charlie stated that even though the tracks bore such names as the "Elvin Suite" in honour of the late Elvin Jones, Max Roach and Roy Haynes, they were not copying their style of drumming, but rather, capturing a feeling by those artists. Watts At Scott's was recorded with his group, The Charlie Watts Tentet, at the famous jazz club in London, Ronnie Scott's. In April 2009 he started to do concerts with "The ABC&D of Boogie Woogie" together with pianists Axel Zwingenberger and Ben Waters plus his childhood friend Dave Green on bass.!

D = DAVE GREEN

Starting as a skiffle player with a tea chest in the 50's with a bunch of friends. Dave's love of the bass actually came much earlier when he used to tune into Radio Luxembourg and listen to Glenn Miller on the Chesterfield programs. He purchased his first bass in 1958 and there went from strength to strength
In 1963, Green turned pro and promptly went off to France for about six weeks on a gig. When he returned, he was fortunate to get a call from Humphrey Lyttelton, who asked Green to join him on a tour with Big Jo Turner and Buck Clayton. "That was a terrific experience," he says. "You know I stayed with Humph until 1983.". Green's tenure with the Lyttelton band may have lasted many years, but in the mid-to-late 60s Green was one of the most sought after bassists in town. One of his earliest stints as a sideman was with Stan Tracey. "I remember meeting Stan when I started doing gigs at Ronnie Scott's old place," says Green. "We really had a wonderful rapport together – it was wonderful to play with him, he's such a strong player.". Green went on to play with virtualy everyone in the jazzworld. He grew up next door to Charlie Watts, they learnt to play jazz together and have being working together ever since, they have an almost instinctive way of playing Jazz together .

They perform with breathtaking precision the legendary songs of ELO, The Electric Light Orchestra'. Magic's outstanding vocal and musical talents are augmented with the addition of Dave Chapman, a sensational keyboard player, who reproduces the complex orchestral sounds that is part of the ELO legend, making this concert a must for all lovers of great music and harmony.

Magic is a tribute band in the classiest sense of the word. Without trying to be look-alikes, they succeed in creating the talents and sounds of the Electric Light Orchestra. ELO fans are devoted and thrilled to listen to the popular music of the seventies and eighties without anyone being able to accuse Magic of trying to be something they are not.

Lead vocalist, Roger Brown, is a dynamic, spontaneous and versatile performer who feels the music from his soul and contagiously exchanges this energy with his audience. Bass guitarist, Charlie Sutton, complements Brown's singing talents, hitting the higher notes and takes the lead for numbers such as Evil Woman, as well as feeding into songs such as The Diary of Horace Wimp and Mr Blue Sky with vocal perfection. Trevor Lock, Dave Fusaro and Rob Lock complete the regular Magic line-up. For their ELO set, the band is augmented by the valuable musical skills of keyboard player, Dave Chapman.

The repertoire gives Magic the opportunity to demonstrate their own versatility, as well as showcasing the truly exceptional music of ELO, reminding the audience of how musically adept the band were.

An encore promoting Magic's other tribute concert, dedicated to the music of Queen, confirms they are an excellent harmony group with a love for some of the best bands of the past.

Band PicBand PicBand Of Skulls released their debut album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey, on September 21st 2009 through You Are Here. The album, preceded by the single, 'Death by Diamonds and Pearls' has received a great reception across the press, radio on online media.

The three members of Band Of Skulls, Russell Marsden (guitar & vocals), Emma Richardson (bass & vocals) & Matt Hayward (drums), first met at college and quickly discovered that having two lead singers and three songwriters in a band was always going to present unlimited possibilities.

The band quickly established themselves in both the music and art community with a series of culturally inspired club nights in Southampton, London and further a field in Moscow & Tokyo.

The album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey was produced, recorded and mixed by Ian Davenport (Supergrass, Badly Drawn Boy) and mixed at the legendary House of Blues studio in Los Angeles and perfectly captures the band's aptitude for heartbreaking duets and sun-kissed, Wall of Sound harmonies.

The band previously scored an iTunes 'Single Of The Week' with the track I Know What I Am, which was downloaded by over 400,000 music fans worldwide earlier this year  - an unprecedented success for a previously unknown band.

This summer has seen the band receive glowing reviews for their live show, most notably at Suffolk's Latitude Festival, where they were the pick of the Guardian's 'Must See' new bands.

Fresh from playing a string of UK dates, including supports to Wolfmother, Reverend & The Makers, Club NME & NME Radio club nights at Koko, Guildford and Sheffield universities, the band are currently supporting the release of the Twilight 'New Moon' soundtrack – which features the Band Of Skulls song -  'Friends' They have also been invited to perform several tracks at the film's premiere in November- another huge result for a little-known band.

In the US, the band are starting to make a real impact across the country, with support from KCRW, KROQ, Fuse TV, as well as a rapturously received Lollapalooza performance. The band will be heading out on tour in November with Canadian band, Metric, before returning to Europe for dates in France, Germany, Spain and The Netherlands, as well as a full UK tour.

Band PicKeeping the spirit and songs of the legendary Zep alive with their unique energy and stage presence , Whole Lotta led play to over 40,000 enthusiastic fans every year. They don't try and reproduce what the Classic Led Zeppelin line up looked like because for these guys it's all about the music, And what music.

With recent 3 page review in the Sunday Express and live footage on the BBC 6 o'clock News this band go from strength to strength. Whether a fan of the original Led Zeppelin or new to the sound come and be astounded by the music of Led Zeppelin .

Given the thumbs-up by no less a guitar god than Jimmy Page himself , Whole Lotta led are THE Led Zeppelin tribute band

Hailing from England Whole Lotta Led are now considered by many to be one of the greatest tributes to Led Zeppelin around. Generally playing two and a half hour sets and over 100 concerts a year their enthusiasm on stage is unequalled, with a stage presence full of magnetism that all audiences feel and share.

They are all exceptional musicians in their own field and without realising it create much the same energy, flair and magic that still holds Led Zeppelin as one of thee largest and most influential bands the world has ever seen. New generations are getting involved in the Zeppelin experience, audiences at Whole Lotta Led gigs span four generations from six to sixty and for most it is the first opportunity of seeing Zeppelin's music performed live. It has been many years now since Zeppelin split up, tributes keep the music alive but when Whole Lotta Led recreate a Zeppelin concert they keep the music fresh. Uniquely for a tribute band they don't have the pretence of trying to look like former members of Zeppelin, their integrity and musicianship comes through in the passion for the music they play. Jimmy Page met them and gave his blessing to what they are achieving. The band also raises funds for The ABC Trust, a charity founded by Jimmy Page's wife to help under privileged children in Brazil. She keeps in touch with the band and informs Jimmy of there progress.

Band PicHighly respected and local Pink Floyd tribute band Pick Floyd (all former members of Perfect Alibi) are pleased to bring the Floyd'77 show to The Brook - this will be a recreation of Pink Floyd's 1977 world tour setlist, arguably one of the strongest in the rock music canon, and it is likely that this will be the first time that this particular setlist has been played live since the original Pink Floyd world tour back in 1977!

Commonly referred to as the ‘In The Flesh' tour, Pink Floyd's 1977 world tour showcased both the 'Animals' and 'Wish You Were Here' studio albums in their entireties, in what can arguably be classed as their definitive versions that were played with edge, dynamism and utter conviction by the band. The tour was also notable for a number of firsts and lasts: it was the last time that Pink Floyd performed as a touring live band with founding member Roger Waters in the line-up. In fact, after this particular tour, as a band Pink Floyd were never really the same entity, and Roger Waters himself would use the energy (both positive and negative) derived during the live shows develop 'The Wall' concept and project who increasingly alienated he felt from the people to whom he simply wished to play his music. The tour was also the last time that Pink Floyd played any music from the stunning 'Animals' album and so it is always welcome to get the chance to play catch-up and hear the songs from 'Animals' live and in the flesh. Footage and photographs of the Pink Floyd 1977 shows is also very hard to find, although the supporting concert tour artwork can be readily tracked down and is highly valued by Pink Floyd fans.

Band PicIn terms of the musicianship on the tour, Pink Floyd were augmented on stage for the first time by the acclaimed lead guitarist Snowy White and this allowed the intense, complex guitar lines from the studio albums to be replicated live on stage; in addition, Snowy White's presence provided the opportunity for the Pink Floyd lead guitarist David Gilmour to exchange and trade guitar riffs throughout the songs taking them into a new dimension as live songs. To some extent too, 1977 was the last time that Pink Floyd would feel free to jam their material live on stage, exploring the boundaries and pushing the envelope with dramatic effect. A good example of this occurred during the closing section of 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' where the guitar interplay between Gilmour and White is particularly stunning; curiously their work together remains to this day buried in the archives and otherwise lost to the classic rock world. Aside from the lead guitar work, the rhythm section of Roger Waters (bass) and Nick Mason (drums) was delivered with a certain hard edged level of aggression, fitting in with the general New Wave musical vibe of the time, and emblematic of the overall themes of the twin studio albums. Buried in the live recording vaults too, is perhaps one of Pink Floyd's greatest and yet mostly unheard bass and drum rhythmic phrases that could only be heard live on the 1977 tour itself and which provides compulsive listening as the show is driven to its conclusion. Last but certainly not least is the very fine live keyboard work of the dear departed Pink Floyd member Richard Wright who was totally involved in the music and who cut loose on this tour (probably for the last time too?) as he augmented the studio material with extended instrumental passages and superb understated playing on the Hammond organ.

Pick Floyd (all former members of Perfect Alibi) - Floyd'77 Show - Live at The Brook - come along and immerse yourself!

Band PicHaving already started the year with an extensive tour of Germany, Belgium & Switzerland, Wishbone Ash stop off in the UK for a twenty-five date tour, taking in many of the country's major towns and cities, and proving they're still one of the hardest-working and in-demand bands.

Their colossal work rate is testament to an enduring popularity that shows no sign of abating nearly 40 years after they first formed. In that time, they have inspired bands such as Thin Lizzy and Iron Maiden with their pioneering, trademark twin-lead guitars; their unique blend of blues, jazz and English folk continuing to delight audiences throughout the world.

Wishbone Ash has released nearly 40 albums & 6 DVDs and performed on five continents to worldwide acclaim. The band regularly performs more than 150 shows a year, delivering the goods to an ever-growing number of appreciative fans of all ages.

Throughout the years, many notable musicians have contributed their talents to the band, including Asia's John Wetton, Trevor Bolder from Uriah Heep and Laurie Wisefield, who would later play guitar for Joe Cocker and Tina Turner.

The current and established lineup comprises founding guitarist Andy Powell, long-serving bassist Bob Skeat, guitarist Muddy Manninen and drummer Joe Crabtree.

Still selling out venues, they will be performing such classic tracks as The King Will Come, Throw Down the Sword & Blowin' Free as well as songs from their latest album, The Power Of Eternity. With such a vast back-catalogue of material to draw from (including the multi-million selling Argus - considered one of the classic rock albums of all time) the fans will be guaranteed an unforgettable evening of the best in rock.

And as if the band weren't busy enough, they depart these shores the day following their last UK show to start their USA tour by performing in Pennsylvania that very same night!
