The World's Only Official Live Tribute Band To Marc Bolan & T.Rex CELEBRATING THE YEAR OF MARC BOLAN'S 65TH BIRTHDAY &
T.Rextasy have now been gigging around the world for 20 years, a career that ironically out lives Marc's very own T.Rex. The band are now accepted as the world's only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan's family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan's catalogue management. Due to their passion, musical ability, longevity, and attention to detail, they are consistently described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute'. They have, with their ‘Marc Bolan' doppelganger lead singer/lead guitarist, Danielz, signed with Columbia Records, Madman Records, and Liberation DVD, won the accolade of ‘Best Live Tribute Band in the UK on BBC1, and performed at the original Billy Elliot premiere party, filmed for ‘Arena' on BBC TV. Over the years they have toured around the world from Europe to Japan and have performed at many Arena venues in the UK (such as Wembley Arena, and Birmingham's NEC). They have played alongside many of the 1970s original contemporaries such as Wizzard, Cockney Rebel, Slade, Sweet, and Ian Hunter, to name a few. In September 2007 they played to 40,000 at the BBC Proms Night at London's Hyde Park, and later headlined their own sell-out concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire with their special guests including Marc Almond (Soft Cell), Gloria Jones (Marc's girlfriend songwriter/singer), and Shakin' Stevens. The band have also accepted invitations from ex-members of T.Rex such as Mickey Finn (original percussionist), Marc's son Rolan Bolan, and Bowie/Bolan producer Tony Visconti, to play alongside them in past special anniversary concerts. Dino Dines (original keyboardist), a long serving member of T.Rex even joined T.Rextasy and remained with them until sadly passing away a few years ago…the list goes on… Expect T.Rextasy to play all of Bolan's biggest hits, such as ‘Ride a White Swan', ‘Jeepster', ‘Telegram Sam', ‘New York City', ‘Debora', ‘Teenage Dream', ‘Hot Love', ‘20th Century Boy', ‘The Groover', ‘I Love To Boogie', ‘Get It On', and of course ‘Telegram Sam', ‘Metal Guru', and ‘Children of the Revolution'. The band plays totally live without the aid of any backing tracks, recreating the music, performance and excitement of those heady and outrageous times of glam rock. Truly a rock'n'roll concert for all ages - if you would like to know exactly what a Marc Bolan concert was like in the 1970s, this gig is for you! T.Rextasy – awarded the accolade of ‘The Best Live Tribute Band in the UK' by BBC1 TV. ‘They're the closest you're ever going to get to the real thing' ‘T.Rextasy are the tribute act who break all the rules by being bloody brilliant. Danielz is an exact replica of Marc, he's uncanny. ‘Danielz is a curator of Bolan's life, a perfectionist protector of the legacy – T.Rextasy play with a poignant, flamboyant skill.' "Danielz looks and sounds uncannily like Bolan and has dedicated his life to the man" – The Times "Danielz is more than a career lookalike. Here we have a serious guitarist with the animal grace of early Bolan and the clear unequivocal love of the music" "Danielz just freaks me out!" |

The Enid"The Orb Meets Pink Floyd Meets The Berlin Philharmonic" - Time Out"The only band on the planet to have successfully fused rock based music with the power, dynamics and scale of symphonic classical music.
|
|
||||||
"The Orb Meets Pink Floyd Meets The Berlin Philharmonic" UK LIVE DATESIn 1988 after nearly ten years of continuous touring, Robert John Godfrey called an official halt to The Enid with two back to back sold-out shows at The Dominion Theatre, London and the band dissolved. Except for a few one-off adventures during the nineties, the band lay dormant whilst Godfrey fought his demons. In 2002, Robert John Godfrey met by chance a young guitarist, Jason Ducker. For the following years Jason and Robert have been working on The Enid's music. Now he is ready to step into the unique role left vacant by Steve Stewart. The original drummer, Dave Storey together with Jason Ducker and Max Read (member since 1995), join Robert John Godfrey, founding member and driving force within the band for a succession of live shows in support of their new album entitled Journey's End. Said Godfrey in a recent letter to his fans; "I haven't been entirely idle over these years of inactivity. I have developed both as a composer and a person. I think you will all love these new interpretations of some of our most famous tracks." In Jason, I have found the guitarist I so missed after Steve Stewart left in 1988. Dave is in magnificent form and Max is, as ever, a stalwart in all things." *** NEW RECORDINGS"Arise & Shine" This special CD is not intended for general release and will only be available at gigs, festivals and mail order through the band's fan club, The Enidi. "Journeys End" In a recent radio interview Godfrey said, "I believe that if I am finally able to get this task done, I will have surpassed myself; and if that turns out to be true, then my struggles will be over and I will have nothing left to do." ***THE ENID – BRIEF HISTORYThe Enid emerged in the latter half of the seventies as a radical answer to all those young people who couldn't identify with punk but were nevertheless as tired and fed with the current music scene as nearly everyone else. By 1983, Tommy Vance on Radio One had dubbed them "The biggest cult band in Europe". Not because they were, but because the main radio station in the UK assumed they must be! Record companies feared them; Glastonbury banned them. The band was even investigated by MI5. By the mid eighties, just about everybody in the UK had heard of The Enid; and the amount of misinformation, which surrounded them, was staggering. They've been called "fascists" (by people who had been told of, but obviously had never actually experienced at first hand, their sacrilegious on-stage renditions of "Land of Hope and Glory"), "leftists" (because of RJG's vociferous insistence that "all people are interdependent whether they know it or not and that individuality has no fundamental meaning"), and "anarchists" (some truth in that). Many people assumed that they were some sort of insane punk band. That particular assumption could scarcely have been further from the mark. In fact they were probably the most enigmatic and intellectually challenging of any band to have emerged in the UK. QuotesNEARFest 2010, USA "I was completely stunned by their performance at NEARFest." |

Ruby TurnerSoul and R&B DivaRuby Turner is truly the genuine article. Blessed with a voice to die for!
|
||||||||||
Ruby Turner, one of the UK's finest Soul Singers, has just launched her long awaited new album "So Amazing". One of the tracks was recently featured in the BBC Drama "Silent Witness". Ruby was born in Jamaica and grew up in Montego Bay. She was told that Grandfather Turner was a lead singer in a gospel group. Music in the blood was confirmed. She was relocated to Birmingham, England when she was 9. Ruby can breathe life and meaning into a song whether it is a passionate soaring ballad or a soulful up-tempo groove. Her career to date has been sensational with major Tours, Film, TV and theatre appearances. Her major break came when taken under the wings of Britons own Blues Legend Alexis Korner – sadly now gone from us. In the mid 1980's she joined 'CultureClub' at the height of their stardom. Since then, Ruby has releasd 13 solo albums. Ruby's first Album, "Women Hold Up Half The Sky" was released by Jive to critical acclaim in 1986. This period spawned the hits 'If You're Ready (Come Go With Me) and 'I'd Rather Go Blind' and, in the American R'n'B chart, the number 1 hit single 'It's Gonna Be Alright' - one of less than ten British records to achieve this! It was at this time that she also released her hit album 'The Motown Songbook' on which she performed with some of the great stars of that era - The Four Tops, The Temptations, Jimmy Ruffin etc. "Ruby Turner Live In Bristol" was her last album. Recorded live at the Bristol Theatre Royal, she performed some of her biggest hits, including 'I'd Rather Go Blind', "If you're ready come go with me", "Stay with me Baby" and 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered'. |

Band of Skulls - Sold Out!!!No Ticket = No Entry Sorry + Support from Tom BiggsSpecial Homecoming Show "Glam, dangerous and just a bit kinky" – NME "Skuzz-blues brilliance" – The Fly "Gorgeous keening melodies" – The Guardian |
|
|||||||
The three members of Band Of Skulls, Russell Marsden (guitar & vocals), Emma Richardson (bass & vocals) & Matt Hayward (drums), first met at college and quickly discovered that having two lead singers and three songwriters in a band was always going to present unlimited possibilities. The band quickly established themselves in both the music and art community with a series of culturally inspired club nights in Southampton, London and further a field in Moscow & Tokyo. The album, Baby Darling Doll Face Honey was produced, recorded and mixed by Ian Davenport (Supergrass, Badly Drawn Boy) and mixed at the legendary House of Blues studio in Los Angeles and perfectly captures the band's aptitude for heartbreaking duets and sun-kissed, Wall of Sound harmonies. The band previously scored an iTunes 'Single Of The Week' with the track I Know What I Am, which was downloaded by over 400,000 music fans worldwide earlier this year - an unprecedented success for a previously unknown band. This summer has seen the band receive glowing reviews for their live show, most notably at Suffolk's Latitude Festival, where they were the pick of the Guardian's 'Must See' new bands. Fresh from playing a string of UK dates, including supports to Wolfmother, Reverend & The Makers, Club NME & NME Radio club nights at Koko, Guildford and Sheffield universities, the band are currently supporting the release of the Twilight 'New Moon' soundtrack – which features the Band Of Skulls song - 'Friends' They have also been invited to perform several tracks at the film's premiere in November- another huge result for a little-known band. In the US, the band are starting to make a real impact across the country, with support from KCRW, KROQ, Fuse TV, as well as a rapturously received Lollapalooza performance. The band will be heading out on tour in November with Canadian band, Metric, before returning to Europe for dates in France, Germany, Spain and The Netherlands, as well as a full UK tour. |

With recent 3 page review in the Sunday Express and live footage on the BBC 6 o'clock News this band go from strength to strength. Whether a fan of the original Led Zeppelin or new to the sound come and be astounded by the music of Led Zeppelin . Given the thumbs-up by no less a guitar god than Jimmy Page himself , Whole Lotta led are THE Led Zeppelin tribute band Hailing from England Whole Lotta Led are now considered by many to be one of the greatest tributes to Led Zeppelin around. Generally playing two and a half hour sets and over 100 concerts a year their enthusiasm on stage is unequalled, with a stage presence full of magnetism that all audiences feel and share. They are all exceptional musicians in their own field and without realising it create much the same energy, flair and magic that still holds Led Zeppelin as one of thee largest and most influential bands the world has ever seen. New generations are getting involved in the Zeppelin experience, audiences at Whole Lotta Led gigs span four generations from six to sixty and for most it is the first opportunity of seeing Zeppelin's music performed live. It has been many years now since Zeppelin split up, tributes keep the music alive but when Whole Lotta Led recreate a Zeppelin concert they keep the music fresh. Uniquely for a tribute band they don't have the pretence of trying to look like former members of Zeppelin, their integrity and musicianship comes through in the passion for the music they play. Jimmy Page met them and gave his blessing to what they are achieving. The band also raises funds for The ABC Trust, a charity founded by Jimmy Page's wife to help under privileged children in Brazil. She keeps in touch with the band and informs Jimmy of there progress. |

Perfect AlibiPink Floyd Tribute - Sold Out last time!! Get 'em earlyIf you like Floyd and haven't seen them yet then sort it out you crazy diamond! |
||||||
Commonly referred to as the ‘In The Flesh' tour, Pink Floyd's 1977 world tour showcased both the 'Animals' and 'Wish You Were Here' studio albums in their entireties, in what can arguably be classed as their definitive versions that were played with edge, dynamism and utter conviction by the band. The tour was also notable for a number of firsts and lasts: it was the last time that Pink Floyd performed as a touring live band with founding member Roger Waters in the line-up. In fact, after this particular tour, as a band Pink Floyd were never really the same entity, and Roger Waters himself would use the energy (both positive and negative) derived during the live shows develop 'The Wall' concept and project who increasingly alienated he felt from the people to whom he simply wished to play his music. The tour was also the last time that Pink Floyd played any music from the stunning 'Animals' album and so it is always welcome to get the chance to play catch-up and hear the songs from 'Animals' live and in the flesh. Footage and photographs of the Pink Floyd 1977 shows is also very hard to find, although the supporting concert tour artwork can be readily tracked down and is highly valued by Pink Floyd fans.

TERRORVISION IN SUPER DELUXE
Gentlemans Pistols
On 16 September 1977 the world lost one of it's most original, flamboyant and charismatic rock'n'roll stars. Marc Bolan's life was cut short after that fateful early morning car accident which would end his life - he was still only 29 years old. Although Bolan released many successful singles and albums throughout the 1970s, two songs epitomise Bolan's status as the ‘King of Glam' – ‘Telegram Sam' (which sold 500,000 copies within the first two days of release), and ‘Metal Guru', both of which were included on the iconic album in 1972 called ‘The Slider'. Later in the year, on 8 September 1972, one of his most memorable and distinctive records that would inspire future generations was also released, entitled ‘Children of the Revolution'. 40 years on, the song has become legendary, along with the name Marc Bolan….

Blizzard of Ozz are an accomplished powerful Tribute Band who have come together with the aim of delivering the authentic sound of Ozzy Osbourne.

Keeping the spirit and songs of the legendary Zep alive with their unique energy and stage presence , Whole Lotta led play to over 40,000 enthusiastic fans every year.They don't try and reproduce what the Classic Led Zeppelin line up looked like because for these guys it's all about the music, And what music.
Highly respected and local Pink Floyd tribute band Pick Floyd (all former members of Perfect Alibi) are pleased to bring the Floyd'77 show to The Brook - this will be a recreation of Pink Floyd's 1977 world tour setlist, arguably one of the strongest in the rock music canon, and it is likely that this will be the first time that this particular setlist has been played live since the original Pink Floyd world tour back in 1977!
In terms of the musicianship on the tour, Pink Floyd were augmented on stage for the first time by the acclaimed lead guitarist Snowy White and this allowed the intense, complex guitar lines from the studio albums to be replicated live on stage; in addition, Snowy White's presence provided the opportunity for the Pink Floyd lead guitarist David Gilmour to exchange and trade guitar riffs throughout the songs taking them into a new dimension as live songs. To some extent too, 1977 was the last time that Pink Floyd would feel free to jam their material live on stage, exploring the boundaries and pushing the envelope with dramatic effect. A good example of this occurred during the closing section of 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' where the guitar interplay between Gilmour and White is particularly stunning; curiously their work together remains to this day buried in the archives and otherwise lost to the classic rock world. Aside from the lead guitar work, the rhythm section of Roger Waters (bass) and Nick Mason (drums) was delivered with a certain hard edged level of aggression, fitting in with the general New Wave musical vibe of the time, and emblematic of the overall themes of the twin studio albums. Buried in the live recording vaults too, is perhaps one of Pink Floyd's greatest and yet mostly unheard bass and drum rhythmic phrases that could only be heard live on the 1977 tour itself and which provides compulsive listening as the show is driven to its conclusion. Last but certainly not least is the very fine live keyboard work of the dear departed Pink Floyd member Richard Wright who was totally involved in the music and who cut loose on this tour (probably for the last time too?) as he augmented the studio material with extended instrumental passages and superb understated playing on the Hammond organ.
Having already started the year with an extensive tour of Germany, Belgium & Switzerland, Wishbone Ash stop off in the UK for a twenty-five date tour, taking in many of the country's major towns and cities, and proving they're still one of the hardest-working and in-demand bands.
