With recent 3 page review in the Sunday Express and live footage on the BBC 6 o'clock News this band go from strength to strength. Whether a fan of the original Led Zeppelin or new to the sound come and be astounded by the music of Led Zeppelin . Given the thumbs-up by no less a guitar god than Jimmy Page himself , Whole Lotta led are THE Led Zeppelin tribute band Hailing from England Whole Lotta Led are now considered by many to be one of the greatest tributes to Led Zeppelin around. Generally playing two and a half hour sets and over 100 concerts a year their enthusiasm on stage is unequalled, with a stage presence full of magnetism that all audiences feel and share. They are all exceptional musicians in their own field and without realising it create much the same energy, flair and magic that still holds Led Zeppelin as one of thee largest and most influential bands the world has ever seen. New generations are getting involved in the Zeppelin experience, audiences at Whole Lotta Led gigs span four generations from six to sixty and for most it is the first opportunity of seeing Zeppelin's music performed live. It has been many years now since Zeppelin split up, tributes keep the music alive but when Whole Lotta Led recreate a Zeppelin concert they keep the music fresh. Uniquely for a tribute band they don't have the pretence of trying to look like former members of Zeppelin, their integrity and musicianship comes through in the passion for the music they play. Jimmy Page met them and gave his blessing to what they are achieving. The band also raises funds for The ABC Trust, a charity founded by Jimmy Page's wife to help under privileged children in Brazil. She keeps in touch with the band and informs Jimmy of there progress. |

With a dynamic stage show that fully emulates the true charismatic appeal of rock's most flamboyant front man backed up by superbly crafted harmonies and intricate guitar work, Mercury faithfully and accurately recreate the distinctive Queen experience. Mercury was formed in 1998 and since then has gone on to play theatres, festivals and high profile shows across the UK and Europe – from Holland to Hungary and from Majorca through to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. Other prestigious shows include headlining a New Years Eve festival in Dubai which was broadcast live to millions via MTV Asia as well as an exclusive concert for Queen's own Roger Taylor. |

Silver BeatlesSouthampton's Finest Beat Combo Our very own fab four return to their very own 'Cavern Club'. |
|
||||
The Daily Telegraph. There seems to be two different methods employed by tribute bands in copying their heroes. One is to immerse themselves totally in character, become the band. The other is to still do this, but do it with tongue very much in cheek. So how to interpret the greatest pop group of all time? The Silver Beatles go for option B, not taking themselves too seriously and this approach definitely works for them. They indulge in banter among themselves and with the crowd, making the most out of the fact that every Beatle is instantly recognisable. The first half of the gig is the young Beatles, suits and mop tops, covering all the early hits; 'Saw her standing there, Can't buy me love' among others before finishing on 'Twist and Shout'. Then it's a quick break and costume change where they miraculously transform into the older, hippie era Beatles; the period where they wrote some of their finest songs. Just point non-believers to songs like 'In my life' and 'Let it be' which show, more so than the early years, why the Beatles are still held in such esteem. Not that anyone here needed convincing. The 500 plus crowd, arms held aloft, nah-nah-nah-ing during the encore of 'Hey Jude'. Nope, no non-believers were present. Review by Thomas Christie |

The Kast Off KinksThe Kinks, are often cited as one of the most important and influential rock bands of all time.Formed in 1994 to keep the music playing on, and it is what the name implies - the original line-up consisted of the band that played Lola (apart from Ray and Dave), together with singer/guitarist Dave Clarke. The current line-up is the band that played Come Dancing, still with Dave Clarke covering for the Davies brothers. |
|
||||
Their first hit, You Really Got Me, in 1964, broke new ground with driving power chords and Dave Davies' distorted guitar sounds, and created a template for many bands to follow in a rock and roll development which led variously to heavy metal, new wave and grunge. Later work saw the band's style change to more melodic songs, highlighting Ray Davies' lyrical and observational skills in songs like Sunny Afternoon, Dead End Street and Waterloo Sunset. Although the band's popularity in the UK waned in the 1970s, they found new commercial success in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and returned to the UK top 20 in 1983 with Come Dancing. The Kinks continued as a recording and gigging band until 1996, when the Davies brothers went their separate ways with solo careers. During the band's 32-year career, there were some changes in personnel, Pete Quaife, the original bassist, was replaced by John Dalton in 1969, and keyboard player John Gosling was added in 1970. Following the two Johns' departure in the late 1970s, Jim Rodford became the Kinks' bassist (after a short tenure by Andy Pyle) and Ian Gibbons took over on keyboards. Original drummer Mick Avory left the band in 1983, to be replaced by Bob Henrit. The Kast Off Kinks formed in 1994 to keep the music playing on, and it is what the name implies - the original line-up consisted of the band that played Lola (apart from Ray and Dave), together with singer/guitarist Dave Clarke. The current line-up is the band that played Come Dancing, still with Dave Clarke covering for the Davies brothers. |

His 1998 self-titled release (and his American debut) was locked on Blues Revue's Top 40 sales chart for a year where it peaked at number 18. Consistently packing crowds into 1,000+ seat venues and sought out for all the key Blues Festivals nationwide, Walter Trout & The Radicals will continue to ride coast to coast playing their hearts out and lighting up their audiences. Both on record and on stage, Trout keeps the art of blues thriving and vivacious. Blues Revue comments "Trout gets into the groove where the magic happens. But each night offers a particular set of circumstances that keep the music fresh." From introspection to full blown rockin' blues, Trout's music is always marked by his adept song writing, sturdy vocals, searing guitar work and ability to enhance the boundaries of one of music's oldest forms. But as Trout is quick to point out, "the blues shouldn't be a museum. The music ought to constantly expand and be alive." |

Over the years they have built a loyal following and it is this support that has kept the band not only on the road but still as soulful as when they started. The music is authentic soul with selections from The Blues Brothers and The Commitments, but the bulk of the set comes from the soul greats such as Otis Redding, James Brown, Wilson Pickett, Joe Tex and many others. During their time together there have been a number of highlights that include support to some of the top soul artists like Jimmy Ruffin, Edwin Starr, Curtis Mayfield, Geno Washington, Ben E King, and Gloria Gaynor. |

No Jacket RequiredPlay Phil CollinsTotally authentic tribute to Phil Collins |
|
|||||
Back by popular demand, after their sell-out show last year, No Jacket Required, the UK's ultimate Phil Collins Tribute, bring their spectacular show to The Brook, featuring a full Brass Section, Percussion and Backing Vocalists, re-creating the excitement of the 80's & 90's stadium shows. "One of the best shows we've seen in years"……. "It's almost not right to call them a tribute act, they're so much like the real thing"……..just two of the comments from people who saw them at their sell-out show on Valentine's Night @ the Hawth in Crawley. They play all the Phil Collins hits from down the years, Against All Odds, You Can't Hurry Love, Easy Lover, In The Air Tonight – you know them all - and they even throw in some Genesis too! Tours have taken them as far afield as Luxembourg, headlining a festival in front of 5,000 people, and touring the UK to sold-out theatres. This is a chance to catch this spectacular act in the intimacy that is The Brook.Everyone who has seen them on previous tours has raved about their authentic re-creation of the stadium shows of the 80's and 90's, which saw Phil Collins become one of the decade's biggest-selling artists with worldwide hits such as Another Day In Paradise, You Can't Hurry Love and the classic In The Air Tonight. No Jacket Required ARE the UK's ultimate Phil Collins Tribute band. The line up is exactly the same as how Phil presented his live shows, with a full brass section, percussion and backing vocalists. "One of the best shows we've seen in years"……. "It's almost not right to call them a tribute act, they're so much like the real thing"……. just two of the comments from people who saw them at their sell-out show on Valentine's Night at The Hawth, Crawley, West Sussex last year. "It's a full two-hour show which features all the hits, plus a few album tracks from down the years – and we throw in a bit of Genesis too!", said Collins soundalike Dave Whitehouse. Dave is now in his tenth year of "being" Phil Collins, making him Britain's most established tribute vocalist to the former Genesis frontman. From his vocal style to his on-stage mannerisms, Dave's performances capture the powerful and emotional qualities of Phil Collins, while his stage presence has reminded audiences everywhere of the 'Golden Years' of the multi-award winning singer and songwriter. The No Jacket Required History Drummer Graham Goacher, a long-term "serious" fan of Phil Collins and his music, first raised the idea for the band back in 2002. He approached two other music colleagues, guitarist Vic Chase and bass player Chris Peddie-Burch, and the band was born. When it came to the keyboards role, Kevin Stuart was always going to be the man for the job. All three had already worked with Kevin on other musical projects and so he was the natural choice. Kevin's work with a singing four-piece also meant that he brought some invaluable backing vocal expertise to the group. Together, the four members worked on the structures and sounds of the songs from Phil Collins' album Serious Hits... Live! until the foundations of a show were in place. They were just missing a Phil Collins! The band next approached lead vocalist and Phil soundalike Dave Whitehouse, who was already well known on the tribute band circuit as the frontman for the Genesis tribute Invisible Touch since 1998. Having seen him perform in Chiddingfold, Graham and Vic knew that Dave was the final piece of the jigsaw, and he was thrilled to complete the line-up of the core band. The sounds and atmosphere of the massively successful eighties and nineties tours by Phil Collins was faithfully recreated with the addition of the NJR Horns in the Spring of 2003. With this complete line-up, No Jacket Required had become a ten-piece band and were ready to take the show out to the general public. In the summer of 2005, Dave was approached by Opus 78, a Big Band in Luxembourg , to front their tribute show to Phil Collins, a show later transmitted twice on TV in mainland Europe. No Jacket Required are well-established and still progressing – featuring the country's most established Phil Collins tribute vocalist, a superb band with backing vocals, a four-piece horn section and now also a professional percussionist. They have been performing Phil Collins' shows for over three years and sell out venues across the UK. And as you have just read, they are as experienced a live band as you could wish to see on the tribute circuit. As a fan said to us after the sell out Capitol Theatre show in Horsham recently, "To call you a tribute band is not a fair description – you're so professional, you're as good as the real thing!". The band is constantly adding to their repertoire of authentic arrangements, and this year is no exception, with new numbers being added to the shows, and brass enhancements to some of the Genesis numbers. "Backed byan outstandingly accomplished cast of musicians, for over two hours No Jacket Required gave a committed, dazzling and highly entertaining display which exceeded my highest expectations. This was a Seriously Fabulous evening!" – David Dunnington, Genesis Forum. So that's the No Jacket Required story so far. We're sure though, that there's a "long, long way to go…" |

Ruby Turner, one of the UK's finest Soul Singers, has just launched her long awaited new album "So Amazing". One of the tracks was recently featured in the BBC Drama "Silent Witness". Ruby was born in Jamaica and grew up in Montego Bay. She was told that Grandfather Turner was a lead singer in a gospel group. Music in the blood was confirmed. She was relocated to Birmingham, England when she was 9. Ruby can breathe life and meaning into a song whether it is a passionate soaring ballad or a soulful up-tempo groove. Her career to date has been sensational with major Tours, Film, TV and theatre appearances. Her major break came when taken under the wings of Britons own Blues Legend Alexis Korner – sadly now gone from us. In the mid 1980's she joined 'CultureClub' at the height of their stardom. Since then, Ruby has releasd 13 solo albums. Ruby's first Album, "Women Hold Up Half The Sky" was released by Jive to critical acclaim in 1986. This period spawned the hits 'If You're Ready (Come Go With Me) and 'I'd Rather Go Blind' and, in the American R'n'B chart, the number 1 hit single 'It's Gonna Be Alright' - one of less than ten British records to achieve this! It was at this time that she also released her hit album 'The Motown Songbook' on which she performed with some of the great stars of that era - The Four Tops, The Temptations, Jimmy Ruffin etc. "Ruby Turner Live In Bristol" was her last album. Recorded live at the Bristol Theatre Royal, she performed some of her biggest hits, including 'I'd Rather Go Blind', "If you're ready come go with me", "Stay with me Baby" and 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered'. |

DIRTY DC have been playing throughout Britain and parts of Europe since 1998, and have developed the line-up and dynamic stage show that has made their current reputation seriously strong amongst AC/DC fans, whether die-hard fanatics, or just people who want a good night out. Every visual detail has been fine-tuned; from drum kit model to footwear, but most importantly, the musical delivery and stage show has an impact that does not fail to impress. DIRTY DC gives real value for money where others seem to fail. Every superlative in the book has been repeatedly used in describing the DIRTY DC show. From "I was totally amazed by your performance", "The best tribute band we have seen for ages, and we've seen a few"," The whole band are amazing, you guys are so good that you look and sound just like the real thing" and from Chris Slade himself (AC/DC drummer from 1989-94) "You have it spot on, excellent, I really enjoyed the gig." The extraordinary passion that AC/DC arouse, and which has ensured they remain one of the biggest, if not the biggest band in rock flows through the DIRTY DC performance and through their audiences. If you really want to rock and can get to a DIRTY DC gig, do not miss the chance. |

Essential listening But take one listen to an album like Hair of the Dog or Razamanaz, and it is possible to see why many young rock bands, not just Axl's American upstarts, viewed Nazareth as essential listening. The heavy riffs, the screeching vocals (a proto-type for many a future heavy-metal singer), and the driving rhythm section, cemented Nazareth's reputation in early British rock folklore. From playing rock n' roll covers in the Dunfermline ballrooms, to touring the world with the likes of Rory Gallagher and Deep Purple, the Nazareth story really began when the band stuck two-fingers up at the music industry that threatened to hold them back during those turbulent early days, when mimicking London's hip and trendy music scene was the norm. Brightest hope And the band had the talent to back up their audaciousness. Melody Maker's 'Brightest Hope' of 1973 had hit singles with the likes of Broken Down Angel, My White Bicycle, and This Flight Tonight, to which the song's original performer Joni Mitchell is reported to have said on hearing the cover, 'Oh a little rock band, how cute!' Perhaps their most famous track however, is Love Hurts. Yep, that old Everly Brothers song, proving that Nazareth rarely did things the conventional way, in a business where covers were often frowned upon. These hits were all backed up by huge selling albums. Hair of the Dog was a massive success worldwide. Todays Nazareth still features two origanal Members Dan McCafferty on Vocals and Pete Agnewon Bass ,plus Jimmy Murrison on Guitar and Lee Agnew on Drums. |

They all write songs and then play reggae, pop, grunge, ska and house, 4 to the floor… and mix them all together. |
Mixing punk, ska and reggae, ‘Too Much Pressure' successfully reflected the social and political issues of the early Thatcher years in Britain and gave a voice to disaffected youth across the racial divide. The Selecter® fronted by the original singing duo of the female icon of the 2-tone era Pauline Black & Arthur 'Gaps' Hendrickson deliver classic hits like ‘Three Minute Hero', ‘Missing Words', ‘On My Radio', ‘James Bond' and of course ‘Too Much Pressure'. New Selecter Album ‘Made In Britain' & Pauline Black's 2-Tone Memoir- ‘Black By Design' 2011 sees the return of one of the most vital, visceral and important Ska acts ever. Queen of 2- Tone, Pauline Black featured prominently in BBC4's recent "Reggae Britannia" series, contributing to a 90 mins documentary and a live concert broadcast from The Barbican in London. The Selecter® have written and recorded a new 10 track album ‘Made In Britain', featuring covers of Amy Winehouse's ‘Back To Black' & a hugely popular anti-racist ska/reggae re-working of Woody Guthrie's ‘All You Fascists Bound To Lose'- re-invented as ‘Big In The Body- Small In The Mind', due for release September 2011. Pauline Black has also written a well-received 2-Tone memoir, ‘Black By Design' which has been published by ‘Serpent's Tail' and released in July 2011. She will be appearing at the Edinburgh International Book Festival in August. MADE IN BRITAIN: New album by THE SELECTER® "Made In Britain" is the new album from seminal 2-tone band The Selecter®, who pioneered the ska revival movement alongside labelmates, The Specials & Madness in 1979. The album mixes ska, pop and reggae in their inimitable style to reflect the social and political issues confronting Britain's new multicultural society in 2011. Just as they gave a voice to disaffected youth across the racial divide in Thatcher's recessionary Britain thirty years ago, The Selecter® returns to those seemingly insoluble questions of racism and social division, that still pervade today's British landscape. The 2-tone legacy continues, because the idea of multiculturalism began when black and white youth, who had grown up in Britain decided to get together and make music that reflected their particular world. "Made In Britain" seeks to continue that conversation and carry their message forward to a new generation. Multiculturalism rules! Two brand new singles have been released on download prior to the album launch, ‘Big In The Body-Small In the Mind' (May 30th 2011) and ‘Back To Black' (July 30th 2011). The World's Only Official Live Tribute Band To Marc Bolan & T.Rex CELEBRATING THE YEAR OF MARC BOLAN'S 65TH BIRTHDAY &
T.Rextasy have now been gigging around the world for 20 years, a career that ironically out lives Marc's very own T.Rex. The band are now accepted as the world's only official live tribute band dedicated to Marc Bolan & T.Rex, and the only band endorsed and approved by Marc Bolan's family, estate, original ex-members of T.Rex, and Bolan's catalogue management. Due to their passion, musical ability, longevity, and attention to detail, they are consistently described by many as ‘beyond the boundaries of tribute'. They have, with their ‘Marc Bolan' doppelganger lead singer/lead guitarist, Danielz, signed with Columbia Records, Madman Records, and Liberation DVD, won the accolade of ‘Best Live Tribute Band in the UK on BBC1, and performed at the original Billy Elliot premiere party, filmed for ‘Arena' on BBC TV. Over the years they have toured around the world from Europe to Japan and have performed at many Arena venues in the UK (such as Wembley Arena, and Birmingham's NEC). They have played alongside many of the 1970s original contemporaries such as Wizzard, Cockney Rebel, Slade, Sweet, and Ian Hunter, to name a few. In September 2007 they played to 40,000 at the BBC Proms Night at London's Hyde Park, and later headlined their own sell-out concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire with their special guests including Marc Almond (Soft Cell), Gloria Jones (Marc's girlfriend songwriter/singer), and Shakin' Stevens. The band have also accepted invitations from ex-members of T.Rex such as Mickey Finn (original percussionist), Marc's son Rolan Bolan, and Bowie/Bolan producer Tony Visconti, to play alongside them in past special anniversary concerts. Dino Dines (original keyboardist), a long serving member of T.Rex even joined T.Rextasy and remained with them until sadly passing away a few years ago…the list goes on… Expect T.Rextasy to play all of Bolan's biggest hits, such as ‘Ride a White Swan', ‘Jeepster', ‘Telegram Sam', ‘New York City', ‘Debora', ‘Teenage Dream', ‘Hot Love', ‘20th Century Boy', ‘The Groover', ‘I Love To Boogie', ‘Get It On', and of course ‘Telegram Sam', ‘Metal Guru', and ‘Children of the Revolution'. The band plays totally live without the aid of any backing tracks, recreating the music, performance and excitement of those heady and outrageous times of glam rock. Truly a rock'n'roll concert for all ages - if you would like to know exactly what a Marc Bolan concert was like in the 1970s, this gig is for you! T.Rextasy – awarded the accolade of ‘The Best Live Tribute Band in the UK' by BBC1 TV. ‘They're the closest you're ever going to get to the real thing' ‘T.Rextasy are the tribute act who break all the rules by being bloody brilliant. Danielz is an exact replica of Marc, he's uncanny. ‘Danielz is a curator of Bolan's life, a perfectionist protector of the legacy – T.Rextasy play with a poignant, flamboyant skill.' "Danielz looks and sounds uncannily like Bolan and has dedicated his life to the man" – The Times "Danielz is more than a career lookalike. Here we have a serious guitarist with the animal grace of early Bolan and the clear unequivocal love of the music" "Danielz just freaks me out!" |

Roger Chapman"Maybe The Last Time" TourReturn of the Singer of Family & 70s R'n'B band Streetwalkers |
|
|||||||
Highly respected and arguably Britain's finest rock vocalist, Chappo first came to prominence during the late '60's in the Leicester based band THE FARINAS. After moving down to London he teamed up with U.S. producer Kim Fowley, the band changed their name to FAMILY. Over the next seven years Family achieved success and critical acclaim, both for their innovative albums that highlighted the Chapman/Whitney song writing partnership, and their searing stage shows, dominated by the distinctive voice and presence of their charismatic frontman. Family enjoyed four hit singles, "In My Own Time", "Strange Band", "No Mules Fool" and "Burlesque" whilst the albums "Music In A Dolls House", "Entertainment" "A Song For Me", "Fearless" and "Bandstand" all charted. By 1973 family had reached the end of the road, however Chapman and Whitney remained together to form STREETWALKERS. A popular attraction on the college circuit, especially in Germany, the group released four albums scoring a fair degree of success particularly with "Red Card" a top 20 album throughout Europe and the U.K. 1979 heralded the release of Roger's first solo offering "Chappo", superb album that captured the change of direction in all it's glory. Quickly followed by the explosive "Live In Hamburg", his popularity in Western and Eastern Europe reached an even higher level, culminating in a live appearance on the legendary "ROCKPALAST" TV show with his now full time band THE SHORTLIST. Further commercial success followed in the following year with the single "Let's Spend The Night Together", the album of the year "Hyena's Only Laugh For Fun" and the European best selling Mike Oldfield song "Shadow On The Wall". Chappo's raw uncompromising style had reached a ready market and the mid-80's found him releasing an album a year, notably the widely acclaimed "Walking The Cat", whilst continuing to tour extensively throughout Europe and the U.K. Into the '90's the continuing creativity yielded "Hybrid & Lowdown" and "Kiss My Soul", both albums also finding welcome favour in the U.K. The 1998 release of "A Turn Unstoned" yet again displayed Chappo's song writing skill and astonishing vocals, this time also opening up a whole new generation to his unique talents. In 2001 a new live album "Rollin' And Tumblin" was released followed by an extensive touring programme into 2002 and beyond. Recorded with his band The Shortlist the album represents a slight shift in musical emphasis, still ballsy but featuring 12 string acoustic guitar, fiddle, mandolin and harmonica, still capturing all the musical passion of a true rock and roll legend. In February 2003 a 4 x CD Box set entitled "ROGER CHAPMAN, FAMILY & FRIENDS" was released on Mystic Records (MYS CD 161) charting the life and career of one of Britain's finest and most popular singers. This is to be followed by the release of the whole of Roger's back catalogue containing enhanced artwork and bonus tracks. In November 2005 Mystic records released a further 4 x CD box set, a limited edition Family set entitled "OLD SONGS, NEW SONGS"featuring the first ever release of the album "Old Songs, New Songs" on CD. King KingFeaturing Alan NimmoAbsolutely Fantastic Last Time!!! |

Label – Manhaton Records Hatman 2026 Release Date – April 4th 2011 "Quietly, here at Radio 2 we think Alan Nimmo and King King are going to go all the way" It is often said that you don't have to peer very deeply into the pedigree of rock, R&B, funk or soul to happen upon a little blues. This is obviously a view shared by King King, who have gone swashbuckling through the blues family tree to produce their debut album TAKE MY HAND. Casting an eye over King King's achievements, it seems difficult to believe that the band, fronted by charismatic bluesman Alan Nimmo, only came into being a couple of years ago. Perhaps it's because they didn't so much join the scene as storm in and attempt to take it hostage. Seemingly endless gigs, festival appearances (Glastonbury amongst them), and notable radio slots (Paul Jones Show on Radio 2 and live session at Maida Vale) have all been achieved. The band's following continues to swell in numbers, and compelling live performances have consolidated their reputation as one of the most exciting bands to hit the circuit in recent years. Hence it was with a weight of expectation that the band entered the studio to record their debut album. The result…well, just when you think you know someone… The opening track Lose Control erupts as a polished, multi-layered blues rock original infused with flavours of the Fabulous Thunderbirds and heyday era Stones. Following this comes the potent and achingly funky title track Take My Hand, dense with brass and gorgeously rich vocals. Something of a trademark in their blistering live shows, King King's interpretation of John Hiatt's Feels Like Rain appears here as a beautifully intimate example of the value of restraint. This, along with an unremittingly dazzling rendition of Clapton's classic Old Love, provides an opportunity to more closely enjoy the finer nuances of this madly gifted bunch. Further along, King King have taken the Red Devils arrangement of Mr Highwayman and created a storming raw blues stomp through the Howlin' Wolf classic, complete with pleasingly filthy harmonica from Giles King. Heart Without A Soul is a gratifying mid-tempo lament against a backdrop with more than a sniff of strutting funk, and the album is surprising to the end, rounded off as it does with an unexpected and sublime take on Toussaint McCall's lovelorn Nothing Takes the Place of You. The album has been co-produced by Ewan Davies, who has previously worked with Arctic Monkeys, Editors and The Noisettes. Ever present throughout TAKE MY HAND are Nimmo‘s impassioned vocals and intricate guitar work, cohort Lindsay Coulson's punchy bass, the made-to-make-you-grin keyboard/piano work of Bennett Holland and Dale Storr, and Craig Blundell's selfless vigour on drums. Jacquie Williams brings soulful backing vocals to several tracks. To support the release of TAKE MY HAND King King will be touring the UK during April/May 2011 |

Perfect AlibiPink Floyd Tribute – Floyd'77, a Brook first and not to be missed!If you like Floyd and haven't seen them yet then sort it out you crazy diamond! Fancy a trip back in time to see Pink Floyd play live in 1977? |

Commonly referred to as the ‘In The Flesh' tour, Pink Floyd's 1977 world tour showcased both the 'Animals' and 'Wish You Were Here' studio albums in their entireties, in what can arguably be classed as their definitive versions that were played with edge, dynamism and utter conviction by the band. The tour was also notable for a number of firsts and lasts: it was the last time that Pink Floyd performed as a touring live band with founding member Roger Waters in the line-up. In fact, after this particular tour, as a band Pink Floyd were never really the same entity, and Roger Waters himself would use the energy (both positive and negative) derived during the live shows develop 'The Wall' concept and project who increasingly alienated he felt from the people to whom he simply wished to play his music. The tour was also the last time that Pink Floyd played any music from the stunning 'Animals' album and so it is always welcome to get the chance to play catch-up and hear the songs from 'Animals' live and in the flesh. Footage and photographs of the Pink Floyd 1977 shows is also very hard to find, although the supporting concert tour artwork can be readily tracked down and is highly valued by Pink Floyd fans.

After almost a decade on tour, Mercury is now established as one of the world's most authentic tributes to Freddie Mercury and Queen.
"...Cover bands are big business these days, but this quartet are clearly a cut above most with suits, mop-tops and jerking stage manoeuvres all in place as they blast out 'From Me To You', 'Roll Over Beethoven' and 'Please, Please Me' with note-perfect aplomb."
The iconic British rock band, The Kinks, are often cited as one of the most important and influential rock bands of all time.
In
a BBC radio poll, Trout was ranked #6 out of the top 20 all-time greatest
guitarists (where a few more votes would've landed him snugly in the
Top 5 amongst Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page!). Trout has his sites set
on similar stateside notoriety.
Time
to dance the night away with the band who make every gig a party night!
Those that have followed the band will know that the Rufus Stone Soul Band, based in their home town of Southampton, has been around in many guises since their start in late 1984. After all this time you would expect that some of the sparkle would have gone, not a bit. They still have the same distinctive sound, which ensures that they get the maximum involvement from their audience.
Peter Grant
Peter's debut album, New Vintage, went top ten and achieved gold status, selling over 200,000 copies. The second album, Traditional, followed soon after. "I wasn't given the chance to be properly involved with the second album and I didn't like the way I was styled. The record company were trying to make me something I wasn't comfortable with it. I think it showed as my heart wasn't in it."

AC/DC is a band whose appeal is huge, widespread through the generations and totally indifferent to musical fashions. Their unique formula of tight riffs and fat rhythm combines dance ability with hard-rocking anthems that flow through the blood of all who have been smitten by their cheeky-but-colossal offerings. If you want to see AC/DC, but your options are limited, then check out DIRTY DC. You will not be disappointed. All the energy and electricity of an AC/DC show along with completely faithful renditions will leave you trembling, with a smile on your face.
When
Guns & Roses first descended onto England in 1987, followed by a whirlwind of media hype and drunken brawls, they brought with them a bunch of cassettes that they would listen to while chilling in between gigs. One
such cassette that kept them entertained during their infamous stint
at the London Marquee, was entitled 'Greatest Hits' - by Nazareth. There
are two things which may seem odd about this fact. One, why would an
American band on the verge of superstardom travel around the globe with
a cassette by some old Scottish band? And two, that a bunch of hairy
blokes from Dunfermline had any great hits at all.
"Too Much Pressure" released by this important and influential platinum selling band in Feb 1980 remains a classic touchstone for a generation of Ska lovers and the band are excited to announce they will be playing the album in its entirety plus a selection of other much loved Selecter tracks and some new surprises at concerts throughout 2011.

On 16 September 1977 the world lost one of it's most original, flamboyant and charismatic rock'n'roll stars. Marc Bolan's life was cut short after that fateful early morning car accident which would end his life - he was still only 29 years old. Although Bolan released many successful singles and albums throughout the 1970s, two songs epitomise Bolan's status as the ‘King of Glam' – ‘Telegram Sam' (which sold 500,000 copies within the first two days of release), and ‘Metal Guru', both of which were included on the iconic album in 1972 called ‘The Slider'. Later in the year, on 8 September 1972, one of his most memorable and distinctive records that would inspire future generations was also released, entitled ‘Children of the Revolution'. 40 years on, the song has become legendary, along with the name Marc Bolan….

King King featuring Alan Nimmo
The unique three man tribute to rock music's best known Texan boogie band , are back to "Tear the house down !" in 2011, bringing a tour with more Tone,Taste and Tenacity than ever before. Complete with their Real Beards!, the Crazy Guitars, the moves and over two hours of Hot Rodded Rock 'n' Roll !.
Highly respected and local Pink Floyd tribute band Perfect Alibi are pleased to bring the Floyd'77 show to The Brook - this will be a recreation of Pink Floyd's 1977 world tour setlist, arguably one of the strongest in the rock music canon, and it is likely that this will be the first time that this particular setlist has been played live since the original Pink Floyd world tour back in 1977!
In terms of the musicianship on the tour, Pink Floyd were augmented on stage for the first time by the acclaimed lead guitarist Snowy White and this allowed the intense, complex guitar lines from the studio albums to be replicated live on stage; in addition, Snowy White's presence provided the opportunity for the Pink Floyd lead guitarist David Gilmour to exchange and trade guitar riffs throughout the songs taking them into a new dimension as live songs. To some extent too, 1977 was the last time that Pink Floyd would feel free to jam their material live on stage, exploring the boundaries and pushing the envelope with dramatic effect. A good example of this occurred during the closing section of 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond' where the guitar interplay between Gilmour and White is particularly stunning; curiously their work together remains to this day buried in the archives and otherwise lost to the classic rock world. Aside from the lead guitar work, the rhythm section of Roger Waters (bass) and Nick Mason (drums) was delivered with a certain hard edged level of aggression, fitting in with the general New Wave musical vibe of the time, and emblematic of the overall themes of the twin studio albums. Buried in the live recording vaults too, is perhaps one of Pink Floyd's greatest and yet mostly unheard bass and drum rhythmic phrases that could only be heard live on the 1977 tour itself and which provides compulsive listening as the show is driven to its conclusion. Last but certainly not least is the very fine live keyboard work of the dear departed Pink Floyd member Richard Wright who was totally involved in the music and who cut loose on this tour (probably for the last time too?) as he augmented the studio material with extended instrumental passages and superb understated playing on the Hammond organ.
