Skerryvore represent the best in contemporary Scottish traditional music!

Skerryvore

Over the last 16 years, Skerryvore have brought their performances to audiences across the globe, from their early days in Scottish West Coast halls and bars, to Festival crowds in USA, Canada, Australia and throughout the UK and Europe. Picking up Scottish traditional music’s ‘Live Act of the Year’ twice on the way – the band’s wide range of influences and talent produce a musically expansive, high energy set that excites and captivates audiences. Their 6 studio albums demonstrate the wide range of influences the individual musicians bring to the mix – a unique fusion of folk, trad, rock and Americana, with even some jazz in there!

In 2021, Skerryvore were placed on the BBC Radio 2 Playlist twice, with their songs Together Again and You & I, which hit the prestigious A List. Multiple daily plays and great a response from the presenters, has seen Skerryvore reach a whole new fanbase - and led to their streams skyrocketing and a sold-out winter tour. It is extremely rare for a ‘non-mainstream’ independent artist to be placed on the list so the band feel incredibly honoured to have received this recognition.

This brilliant band create a wonderful atmosphere for all ages and deliver a high energy set that excites and captivates the audience.. a feel good sound of folk rock with bagpipes, accordions and fiddle combined with kicking rhythms of guitar, bass and drums and keys.

The Eves

“I like that a lot” Steve Wright, BBC Radio 2

“Glistening pop music with delightful harmonies” – Jim Gellatly, Amazing Radio

“Future Gold…like that one a lot” – Tony Blackburn, BBC Radio

The simple fact is that The Eves are a mainstream act that, as yet, are still on the margins” – Teddy Jamieson, The Herald

Scottish pop duo ‘The Eves’ are Caroline Gilmour and Marissa Keltie. Previously solo artists, their explosion onto the music scene as a combined force in 2018 has established them as one of the UK’s most promising and exciting song-writing duos with their stand-out brand of uplifting, melodic pop.

Recent single releases ‘Big Love’ (2022) and ‘Brand New Day’ (2021) have commanded attention from mainstream national radio stations, with both tracks making appearances on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Scotland. The tracks have also featured heavily on regional and online playlists across the UK and Ireland.  Big Love was the pair’s first release as a co-write, written with Jim Duguid (Paolo Nutini) and Lewis Gardiner (Ellie Goulding, Nick Jonas).  It has now been officially adopted as the anthem for Scottish Women’s Football for the 2022/2023 League Season and was featured on BBC Scotland’s most popular football show ‘Off The Ball’ with Tam Cowan and Stuart Cosgrove.

Brand New Day spent a stunning 5 weeks on the BBC Radio 2 playlist.  After starting out as ‘New to 2” on Ken Bruce, the track made it onto the C list, before being promoted to the B list, racking up numerous plays by OJ Borg, The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show, Claudia Winkelman, Steve Wright, Ken Bruce, Michael Ball, Vanessa Feltz, Rylan on Saturday, Johnnie & Tiggy Walker and Tony Blackburn.
