Listening Room is a new live music series that strips things back to what truly matters - the song, the performance, and the connection. Created for music lovers who value depth and artistry, these intimate sessions give performers a space to share their work in a room where the audience is there to listen. No distractions, no background noise - just a chance to experience live music of all styles and genres the way it was meant to be heard: with full attention and open hearts.

Athena Aperta Watch Video

Athena Aperta (previously performing as Casey Tufnell) is a multi-disciplinary artist (musician, songwriter, spoken word artist, multi-instrumentalist and much more). She has recently been supported by Youth Music UK.

She also has a first class degree in popular music, a history of organising jazz and mixed-genred events as well as performing a lot in London. In 2020 she was a runner up for the Nicholas Daley x Fred Perry Award. When she performs live, she gets words from the audience and writes songs on the spot.

As well as her art, she also has a really keen interest to help other people. Over the last couple of years she has gained a counselling diploma and a sound therapy diploma. Striving to build something that includes all of the experience and skills above she coaches 'Performance Enhancement Skills' for vocals, instruments, stage fright and more.

With influences from a variety of genres, Athena Aperta believes in the fluidity of life and music - aiming to create her own box to think outside of. Open to collaborations and genres of all styles, she believes in not limiting oneself to one way of thinking, one genre or one home. Currently, she regularly visits London and South West England, and travels all over the world.

Aperta is a latin adjective, with the following definitions:

Mia Reed

Known for turning the emotionally chaotic experience of being a young woman into Indie-Pop singalongs, Mia Reed is not one to miss. Her gut-punch lyrical style has brought her to stages across the South Coast, including twice at Isle of Wight Festival and the Yamaha Ambassador Final with her debut release still yet to come. 

Mia is an honest and energetic presence with a knack for connecting with listeners. Taking influence from icons such as Maisie Peters and Nieve Ella, Mia’s songs are perfect for jumping and letting go of worries to, as well as showcasing her passion driven voice. Since selling out her Debut Headline show in August, her fun-filled EP is due for release later this year, and is an someone to see now!

Izzie Yardley’s music is a free-flowing braided river of classical, folk and jazz. With vivid guitar figures, rolling drums, and warm basslines forming the landscape beneath her, she sings with a studied, unafraid introspection and melodies that linger into the late-night hours. 

“I’m not here to make nice music,” she says. “I’m here to make music that could be the key that opens the door you keep locked.” Her debut album ‘Diving The Unknown,’ produced by Ethan Johns (Laura Marling, Kings of Leon) will be released September 24th 2026. Recorded live in her local Somerset town, it’s an energetic, vulnerable and honest exploration of how we navigate our own lives and the lives of those around us. Single ‘The Garden’ has been championed by BBC Radio 1 and BBC Introducing (’Such an amazing artist.’) Live, she’s shared stages with artists like This Is The Kit, Jesca Hoop, Caoilfhionn  Rose and The Brother Brothers, planting her roots in the contemporary folk scene,  while debut EPS - Imposter (2023) and Pull Back The Sea (2024) - were supported by PRS Foundation Women in Music, Help Musicians and championed by BBC Introducing, Absolute Radio and BBC Scotland.
