Ticket Information
Pricing
Please note that from April 2026 ticket prices switch to the “Door” Price on the day of the show. If you want cheaper tickets, please buy before the day.
Online Sales
Wherever you see the “Tickets” button you can click it and it will take you to TicketWeb’s secure site which deals with our online ticketing. You print out the “virtual ticket”, or bring it with you on your phone to the venue on the night, along with suitable identification.
Whatever you do, don’t buy or sell tickets through dodgy reseller sites like Viagogo, StubHub, or any other bunch of blaggards. They’re not official sellers, and getting a refund from them is about as easy as getting an encore from a mime artist.
And please — never-ever buy tickets on Facebook (for anything!). Those pages are full of scams, rogues, and scallywags, and your tickets will not be valid. You’ll end up out of pocket, disappointed, and standing outside while everyone else is inside having a great time.
If a show is not available online, it may not be completely confirmed, wait for a few days or check with the venue on 023 8055 5366
We like you buying on-line and this is why…
As with all online ticket sales, there is a booking fee, but we thought that TicketWeb offered the best deal to our customers & to us. If you choose to buy on-line, part of the booking fee for each ticket comes back directly to The Brook from TicketWeb via their GVT Venue Restoration Fund Scheme. This enables us to replace broken microphones, fix toilets, replace light bulbs & all the other things that break just before opening the doors!
Box office ticket sales
Our box office number is 023 8055 5366. Box office hours are 13:00 – 19:00 Wednesday to Saturday. Tickets bought by telephone can be picked up during box office hours anytime after the booking has been made, or they can be picked up on the night of the show.
Alternatively you can buy tickets in person from the box office either during the box office hours, or any other time that we have a show on, from 19:00 – closing time.
Tickets purchased at the box office do not incur any fees and are sold at face value.
On the night
If there are still tickets available, they can be purchased at the box office on the night of the show. Please note that tickets are more expensive on the day of the show in order to encourage you to buy in advance as this helps us to ensure that we have the correct number of staff for the evening.
Refunds
Purchased tickets are non-refundable.
The only circumstance in which refunds can be issued is if a show is cancelled or rescheduled.
However, if a show sells out completely, we will be happy to try to re-sell the tickets on to another customer on your behalf. If we are able to re-sell the tickets for you, we will then refund the face value of the tickets. Any booking fees are non-refundable for online sales.
What to do if a show is cancelled
If you bought tickets online, you should receive an email from the online sales team informing you that the gig has been cancelled and your tickets will be refunded.
If you bought the tickets from us at the box office and we are holding the tickets, you will get a call from us on the number that you left when you booked the tickets to arrange a refund or exchange.
If you are holding the tickets, you should contact the box office to arrange a refund or an exchange. Alternatively, you can fill in this form to request a refund.
If the tickets are for an outside promoter show, and you have bought your tickets from another outlet, you should contact the seller direct.
Payment Information
We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard Credit/Debit payments.
We do not accept American Express cards.
Opening & Show Times
Opening times and showtimes at the venue vary, depending on the day, the artist, and whether there is a support act on the night. The times shown on our website are given as a guide and will be subject to change. To avoid disappointment, please check the times on the day of the show in case there are any changes.
The show time stated on the event listing will be the start of the support act if there is one booked, or the main act if no support is booked. If there is a DJ Support, it will be the start of the DJ Set.
Occasionally we will run to 01:00 – this will be clearly advertised on the gig listing.
Bars will close promptly half an hour before closing! Closing is typically between 23:00 and midnight, depending on the night. If a show finishes early, we will probably close early.
Layout & Seating
We are an intimate, 500-capacity venue, with a layout designed to keep audiences close to the action. Most shows are standing on the ground floor, with tall stools positioned around the perimeter and limited seating available on the balcony.
For selected events, we may use a flexible layout, including cabaret-style seating, creating a more relaxed, up-close listening experience. Where this applies, it will always be clearly stated on the event listing.
The balcony is open for approximately 90% of shows, but availability can vary depending on ticket sales and event requirements. If balcony access or seating is important to you, we recommend checking with the box office in advance.
Seating and stools are in high demand and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If seating is important to you, we advise arriving 30–45 minutes before the advertised door time.
For sold-out shows, stools are removed from most of the ground floor to ensure safe crowd flow and sightlines.
Age Restrictions
- The Brook is primarily an 18+ venue.
- However, young people aged 14 and over are welcome at shows when accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older.
- Please note, each adult may supervise a maximum of two under-18s.
- Occasionally, we host events with different age policies — such as 14+, 16+, or 11–17 unaccompanied shows. Any variation will be clearly stated on the event listing.
- Following advice from Southampton Police, we only accept passports or photo driving licences as valid proof of age when purchasing alcohol.
- We do not accept national proof-of-age cards or any other form of identification. If you’re lucky enough to look under 25, please bring valid ID — and if you’re unsure, give us a call before buying tickets.
- Under 16s must leave the premises by midnight.
- Under 18s are not permitted at Comedy Nights (unless otherwise stated), as some performances may include content unsuitable for minors.

Parking General Info
Do not park in Screwfix. We recommend parking behind the venue on the Belgrave Industrial Estate, but please take care not to block gates or park on corners. Lorries operate here at all hours, and if one can’t get through, the show may be interrupted. Yes, it really would be embarrassing.
As with any town-centre parking, please ensure valuables are hidden from view. Additional on-street parking can be found on Portswood Road and nearby side streets.
Daytime Parking
Some early shows take place during business hours. Local street parking is mostly permit-controlled or limited to two hours, usually becoming unrestricted from around 4:00 pm.
The Industrial Estate is busy until around 6:00 pm, and during this time its car parks are private. Please do not park there or block entrances. Do not park in Screwfix.
If your show starts during business hours, we strongly recommend public transport, cycling, taxis, Voi scooters, or other creative means of travel. Parking demand can be very high.
Evening Parking
In the evenings, there is some street parking on Portswood Road and within the Industrial Estate behind the venue.
Our neighbours are generally happy for customers to use their car parks in the evenings, but please remember:
- Lorries use these roads 24/7
- Do not park on corners or block gates
- Poor parking may result in an irate lorry driver memorising your number plate mid-show
- Do not park in Screwfix.
Please do not leave your car overnight in any private car park, as it may be clamped or towed. If you need to leave your car overnight, use street parking (check permit restrictions) or ask our door staff for advice.
Clarke Lane car park is available in the evenings, but vehicles left after 7:00 am may be clamped. It’s fine for show parking — just don’t leave your car there overnight.
Local police advice is simple and sensible: never leave valuables visible in your car. On the rare occasions there have been break-ins, it has almost always been due to items left on display.
